Politico: Pro-Paul PAC makes BIG ad buy in South Carolina

I really like the ads, they are straight and to the point. Of course if these were the sole ads that were airing than they should have more production value and be more 'epic.' But I really just view these as enhancers to fill in the gaps of the other Ron Paul ads. They might be able to use a bit more production value, but they DEFINITELY shouldn't be criticized for not being flashy; many older people don't want flashiness in their campaign ads. Plus a little variety never hurt anyone.

Excellent adds

This is my first post here, and I have to congratulate everyone for supporting RP. I'm a first generation immigrant and to see the level of support that these ideas are getting in the US makes me very hopeful for the future of my children, so thank you all for your efforts!

Regarding the adds, and as a marketing professional, I truly believe that these adds are brilliant and exactly what is needed. In a very brief period of time, they make strong points about issues that are key to erase negative ideas about what a vote for RP may signify, but more importantly, they always do it with a positive turn.

1) Electability
2) Foreign Policy (the military add does that)
3) True conservative values

I agree that we have to be very thankful to the people who have made them possible.

These ads will be broadcast into mostly rural SC. Imagine granny and grandpa in their nightgowns couch potatoing their evening away, or Billy Bob channel surfing while on his second six pack. These are not abrupt. They will not cause cognitive dissonance. They are single message ads and the pac has had alot of experience targeting this demographic to be successful as they have been.

In all seriousness, there's nothing wrong with these ads, and they will get a viewers attention. If you want flash ads or think you can find someone to do it better, take 300k out of your own pocket.

I like the ad that highlights that Ron Paul does best in head to head polling against Obama. I think the official campaign should stress that more as well, since most voters think "electability" is the most important quality for a candidate.

Welcome to the forums!

I agree with you, as well!

I don't see any problems with these ads. I like the name of the SuperPAC. It doesn't make people think about Ron Paul, so if they really want to do negative ads, they can.

These seem like solid, meat and potatoes ads. Like em. Good job.

I really like how this particular Super PAC was able to get ads on the air without asking people for money to put them on the air. That's exactly what Super PACs are supposed to do.

A good, solid, normal ad. By the contemporary grassroots standards this is an A.

Guys, I think the "Endorse Liberty" Super PAC is behind the "Fake Politicians" videos but I don't know if that's what they will be airing. Anyone know?

Ads are under rated. The fact that they aren't as polished would make me more aware of them if I was watching tv

They aren't nasty ads...I mean they aren't well put together, but they aren't really that negative. They are cheesy, but won't hurt. I'll take what we can get, so long as they don't hurt RP's name. I wish they would have spent a little of their budget on making it more professional, but at least we got the name out.

I think the ads are fine. Most people who vote are old and they don't care about flashy ads like we do. Thank you people who funded the airing of these ads.

I've checked RPF daily since 2007. It seems like so much of what got done in 2008 and what gets done in this election is created, coordinated, or in some way influenced by members on RPF. Reading the politico article got me super excited because it shows that the movement is far more than Ron Paul, Campaign for Liberty, Daily Paul or Ron Paul Forums. The movement is very diverse and there are independent, self-sufficient Ron Paul sleeper cells all over the country that can spring to action at any time.

The ads in themselves are very conservative. Remember, we aren't targetting for trendiness. They get the message across and are a good compliment to the ones from the Campaign and RevPac.

actually i agree with this, theyre in your face, not movieesque drama, which turns people off. coupled with revpacs ads and the campaigns ads, we're covering all spectrums

Guess what if you spend over 300K of your own money then you can make the AD the way you want, make the points you want to make, how you want to make them. That is exactly what this guy did. They are not as good as the other Pacs sure, but these Ads need to be out there, better than them not playing. Look at the ad war between Newt and Mitt. It's a killer crossfire of ads right now.

I just watched these again, all 7, and I like them even more.

I think I'd change "True Republican" to "True Conservative".

But they're on point. On message. The guys voiceover - sounds good. A nice, good, voice. Everything is solid. Unpretentious.

Boom. 2 Rons picture. Boom. Ron in uniform. Romney saying something bad. Boom. South Carolina cheerleaders. Just all solid. Solid solid solid. Which is a good thing. The official campaign sets the general tone, sets the message. And the Super PACs help the campaign. Reinforcing those things that the PAC is guessing the campaign would want to have reinforced.

Adult thinking here.

Thank you Santa Rosa!

Great ads that target older rural demographics. I'm sure Santa Rosa know what they are doing.

By the way, just wondering, what's the problem with the masks ad?
