The US list of state sponsors of terrorism is a total sham. I sincerely hope Paul wouldn't use that as a criteria to designate his "terrorist nations," which I agree is a horrible term. Cuba and North Korea are on there solely because our current foreign policy wants to blacklist them. A Cuban terrorist? Give me a break.
Regarding political correctness: just say what you think. If people proceed to feel you're a xenophobe or a racist, then maybe you should look at what you said, and not try to blame the political correctness bogeyman.
I'd like you to take my word when I say that I would never be described as politically correct, but even I can see that the imagery and diction of the Iowa immigration ad did in fact have something of a racist undertone, and that his plan to end student Visas from countries he determines to be "Terrorist Nations" would be ineffective at best.
