rant about how he stands solidly upon conservative principles. After going through every one of his conservative positions, I couldnt help but have the same thought. Ask him to define conservative and have him compare that to what RP thinks is conservative. Except for Iraq/foreign policy (which was the least articulated of all his positions) Hannity describes, and critiques the issues almost identically to what RP has been saying for months. Yet he followed with the same ignorant statement "There is no real conservative to vote for!!"
WTF?
Well he did say many many times, he would fully support the republican nominee whoever that might be.
Obviously Hannity has a real problem with McCain and now wants him to make promises to the conservatives in order to be able to support him. So now McCain needs to alter his principles/positions to get the conservative vote. Dont you just love the phony politics of it all. Hannity wants to vote for someone who stands on their principles and doesnt bend or pander, yet he's willing to vote for McCain if McCain makes promises to change positions on key issues.
What do you call this? Business as usual!
Romney thinks he's doing whats good for the RePub. Party by supporting McCain.
He doesnt want to give the dems an opportunity to win and......surrender the war on terror! I bet people forgot Romney is Bush-lite!! He thinks McCain (Bush III) can win the general election? With party leaders who think like this, the end result can only be.......The republican party is DOOMED!!
I live in Utah (90 per cent voted for Romney in the primary) and since Romney dropped out, all I hear from people and on talk radio is this...."There is no way I will ever vote for McCain. I will vote for Obama!"
Utah Primary breakdown....8% dem, 33% republican, 53% independent. There is definitely a storm brewing among conservatives!!
Personally, I think the Ron Paul Revolution should be the foundation for a new party!! It should draw from the other freedom and liberty parties/movements, those who are sympathetic to and will support what RP political ideology. The RPR needs to establish itself architecturally as an organization. It needs to evolve further. Organically. It need not assume an old form (mechanical). It need not be hierarchical or have one center.
That would probably be the most difficult task....creating a new organization based on liberty and freedom. In my mind that means a dynamic and open system. I think more and more of us should start educating ourselves and start thinking out of the box on how to do this.
With Paul staying in the republican nomination till the end, how do we pick up the pieces? Should we pick up the pieces? Will they be worth picking up?
