That's not the question you should be asking. You should ask:

Why would you want strangers teaching your kids about sex? Shouldn't you as a parent do that according to your own beliefs and values?

It's one of the best choices I ever made. AND I did it even when my husband was only working part-time barely above minimum wage, and I used only excellent materials. It doesn't have to be that expensive. Used materials and a library can make it cheaper than school lunches, gas for the twice daily trip to school, and the school fundraisers/supplies/clothes, etc. If you buy used materials and then resell them, you can almost break even. Unless you use lots of workbooks--which I don't recommend anyway.

eduardo- I don't think it's all that big a deal really. They learn alot from stuff they pick up here and there anyway.

My oldest kid is only 11, and I just got the weekly flyer from his teacher. Planned parenthood is presenting the materials and training for the Human Growth and Development Unit!

Had no idea this kinda stuff was already happening! Very pissed to say the least. Probably like most here I don't even believe that organization should even exist. Now in my kids school, and will be in my youngest daughters class. My youngest will soon be starting Kindergarten.
How did we let things get so far gone in this country? So great that Dr. Paul has restored my only hope, and for all he has so long stood for!!

The Unacknowledged Holocaust

Back in the 60’s the Federal Government came into the public schools and brainwashed us as little children with the message that the children we were about to have were unwanted because the population was rising so fast. They launched a program called, “Zero Population Growth”. They pushed Family Planning and birth control pills. Now they call the same programs, "Safe Sex" but the results are the same. I think you and I both know that you only have to trick people for their few child bearing years and there is no going back.

Many of us never had a say in the future of our unborn.

I am the result of two living cells. One from each of my parents. They are the result of two living cells, one from each of their parents. I wasn't just born. I am a continuation of life. I am a living thing that reaches back into time perhaps 400 million years and the result of billions of joining of pairs of cells. It is possible that if you were to follow my cells back to my parent’s cells and beyond that my family tree touches every living thing here on earth. That is if we limit ourselves to believing life was created here on earth. If it rained down from the immensity of the universe it could reach back into that immensity of time and space, and who knows what relationships and who knows what species.

My family line succeeded, at least until I came up against the Federal Government.

I have seen the Federal Government do little else to control the population.

The open borders, United States laws only apply to some, is a serious slap in the face. No, not a slap in the face. It reaches well beyond that. Maybe back to the beginning of time and stretch to the bounds of the universe.

eduardo- I don't think it's all that big a deal really. They learn alot from stuff they pick up here and there anyway.

And it's the parents job to help them put all that information together and understand it in a moral and proper way.

I know my daughter will learn about sex and contraception from other people, from tv, movies, etc. But it's up to me to teach her my values and raise her to have the morals I believe in and for me that includes an opposition to all extra-marital sex.

My kids were removed from the public indoctrination system this year. I cannot begin to describe how enriching and peaceful it has been for all of us. The best part is that I don't have to worry about crap like this because we get to decide what they are taught and when.

I'm against planned parenthood, but I'm not really against sex education so long as its objective and not making any moral statements about it (that's what mine was like. This is a penis. This is a vagina. This is where babies come from. etc... It had more to do with just factual aspects about sex and did not condone it nor argued against it). Plus, my school also gave parents the ability to opt their kids out of it and of course parents should probably talk to their kids about sex as well.

Ideally I don't want any government schools, but if they are to exist at state/local levels I'm not really against sex education so long as people can opt out if they choose if for whatever reason it goes against their religion or whatever.
