Planned Parenthood in My kids School????

So shouldn't they change their name to Unplanning Parenthood? Why would people planning on being parents have an abortion?

Planning to be parents includes finding the right time, so unplanning or bailing out while you can is not inconsistent with planning.

Ive never really understood why everyone hates planned parenthood, what exactly do they do?
They teach us about condoms, contraception, and abortion. Basically, safe sex. Which I have no problems with whatsoever! I SUPPORT those things! We SHOULD be teaching children about safe sex, especially if the school allows it!

The problems are the fact it's run by lobbyists, and the fact it's using tax-dollars. If it was a private company, it would have MUCH less hate towards it!

I would donate towards birth-control research for sure, but damnit, don't steal my money to abort the dirty hoe across the street!

Planned Parenthood may provide or promote abortions as an alternative to having unwanted children people can't afford, or as a last resort, but nobody, not even them, want abortions for fun, they prefer to avoid pregnancy just like pro-life people do. Some people seem to have this idea that abortionists want pregnancy to increase so we can have a field day of increased abortions to go with it.

As Ron Paul explained, the problem is that the federal government shouldn't be involved in funding schools. When it is, taxpayers fight about what to fund, and parents get no say. Taxes should be lower, and then parents would decide - and pay for - what their kids are taught.

How about, people who dislike public schools can pull their kids out, and either homeschool or send them to a private school of their choice, leave the people who appreciate, need and otherwise rely on public schools to enjoy it?

If all those kids are birthed wouldn't even more of your tax money be spent on their childs welfare? To clarify I don't support the Federal Government doing much of anything, especially paying for abortions. I am merely trying to point out that if the concern is money, wouldn't planned parenthood save money for the taxpayer?

You need to study it's history first--who started it, none other than a racist eugenicists named Margaret Sanger. While researching the history you will notice, Bill Gates' daddy had a strong hand in it too. Now the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are going around like they are humanitarians trying to push vaccinations on third world countries and pushing Monsanto GMO's on them as well.

Planned Parenthood is one of those organizations, on the surface, that look like they are out to help people, all along their agenda was getting rid of what they think is undesirables.

Abortion is a BIG money maker. Don't kid yourself.

Only thing that really surprises me in there is that your sex ed program starts in Kindergarten. And while I certainly don't support taxpayer funding for their group, I think they offer a lot of value to America, especially with precisely what they're doing here. Maybe it's not good if you believe in abstinence before marriage or want to educate your child yourself on this issue, but the vast majority of kids don't fall into either of those groups. A lot of kids are going to have sex, and I don't believe pregnant high schoolers are a blessing.

My oldest kid is only 11, and I just got the weekly flyer from his teacher. Planned parenthood is presenting the materials and training for the Human Growth and Development Unit!

FROM THERE OWN SITE
"sex ed in school is an integrated education process that builds upon itself year after year, is initiated in kindergarten, and is provided through grade 12. "

Had no idea this kinda stuff was already happening! Very pissed to say the least. Probably like most here I don't even believe that organization should even exist. Now in my kids school, and will be in my youngest daughters class. My youngest will soon be starting Kindergarten.
How did we let things get so far gone in this country? So great that Dr. Paul has restored my only hope, and for all he has so long stood for!!

Kindergarten?! That is insane.

Check out K12 online in your area. There are virtual academies in every state on the West Coast.

Exactly. They make it seem as if people enjoy performing abortions.

It's all based on fear, I suggest you watch the Power of Nightmares to study how America has been converted into a such a paranoia-fueled society.

Canada is much more liberal with regards to sex education and funding institutions like Planned Parenthood - and they have half the abortion rate of the US.

Kids are going to have sex, they may as well learn how to use contraceptives and prevent pregnancy.

Anyone who wants to understand planned parenthood on a whole new level: Google - Margaret Sanger +Negro Project

Eugenics 101 folks.... sterilize the unwashed masses, abort the rest... coming to a school near you!

This is exactly what D.A.R.E. did for me. I found out what things I might want to try, and which things I would stay away from all together. It actually served me quite well as I grew up, so I guess it was a success. Just not in the way the state had in mind. :D

O RLY?

Then teach your kids that at home. Don't use the states's monopoly on violence to force me to pay to teach your kids about stuff I don't approve if. If you want to teach your kids that premarital sex, contraception and abortion are fine and dandy use your own time and money. Stay away from my wallet and my kids.
