Petition to GOP: We Will Not Vote for the Nominee

If Ron Paul decided to run third party, it would certainly revive my enthusiasm for the campaign as we would have plenty of time to awaken the masses.

If Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination, I will either not vote, vote for the 3rd party candidate, or vote for the democrat as a punishment to the Republican Party. They deserve to lose this year. If McCain wins the nom, I will definitely NOT be voting for him. They deserve to lose every year until they find their roots again.

The GOP could care less about McCain being the nominee. They're looking forward to working with Hillary.

I was originally going to vote Third Party anyway (Libertarian). I will support Dr. Paul in whatever decision he makes. I will vote for him in the Republican primary in Texas when it comes up no matter what.

I don't like this, it sounds like sour grapes. We didn't have the votes, and people aren't yet ready for the message. Signing a petition and telling the GOP that we don't like their candidate doesn't help anything. Besides, we're not alone, all the conservatives and libertarians in the party are abandoning McCain. He is going to get creamed in the election.

Franky, the best thing that could happen now is probably for a socialist like Obama or Clinton to get elected - people are too young or have too short a memory to remember the Carter years. Just remember Ronald Reagan in 1976, losing in the primary, Carter wrecking the economy, and Reagan's resurgence in 1980.

My only concern is Ron's age, we might need another candidate for the revolution in 2012.

I"ve been a republican since turning 18 and gaining the right to vote. In '00 and '04 I made the mistake of voting for GWB and I won't make that mistake again, EVER.

Not only will I NOT vote for the republican nominee, but if it is McCain, I will cease any and all support for the GOP to include changing my party affiliation. FU GOP!!

Same here. I myself still believe in principles, and McCain has gone against almost all of my conservative values with his voting record and flip flopping.

I simply cannot extend my vote to it, I'm taking the founders advice and doing my part, the GOP will miss conservatives in their party this year.

The GOP does not give a shit! Can't you all see that it's a big setup to have a democrat win.

What kind of Petition forces you to give money. BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

let it be remembered that never again in the future of political campaigns will a candidate receive the same support, enthusiasm and donations UNLESS the message is about liberty, freedom, peace, and the constituion. accept no imitations

I signed, not because I think the petition will go anywhere or affect anything, but because I really do feel that way. If it can sway some people that would be great, but I'm not counting on it.

Considering what our grassroots movement has achieved, i.e. thousands of active, dedicated supporters and more money raised last quarter than any other repub candidate, yes, I think they ought to pay attention and be concerned.

By now you should know that what they ought to do and what they will do are often two very different things.

I'm through with "strategic voting" (i.e. voting for someone simply to keep someone else from winning). Ron Paul is getting my vote in the primary and he's getting my vote in the election if he's on the ballot or not. A vote against the Republicans is practically a vote for the Democrats, but either way they'll lose and I'll be able to sleep at night.

I made such a mistake with Ross Perot. I learned from my mistake. Since then, I have voted my conscience.

We are down to online petitions? Really?

Do you think the GOP will care that some of Ron Paul's 6% nationwide might not vote for their guy? I doubt it.

Compared to how close the presidential elections have been the last few years, it would make a difference.

Then again, us giving the GOP a hard time is FUN!!!! Give those bastards a chance to work and earn their blood-soaked money.
