Would you vote for this guy if he ran for Congress?

He co-founded Paypal, was an early investor in Facebook, Yelp, and LinkedIn, has had even more correct economic predictions than Ron Paul over the years, and he's a billionaire who donates to the Ron Paul campaign and other libertarian causes.

The guy is a genius.

He already is pretty politically active, he has the money and experience, and he seems to be a better speaker than Ron. Should we urge him to run for US Congress?

Q: I have a really amazing idea, how do I get it to Peter Thiel?
A: If you'd like to submit an idea to the Foundation you are welcome to through the contact form. Each submission is read by someone at the Foundation. If there is interest you will be contacted; however, because of the high volume of messages that the Foundation receives you may not hear from us otherwise.

I can't really find a better link, but if you have one more direct, feel free to submit it.

Anyways, please ask him to run for office, and mention that you are Ron Paul supporters and would vote and campaign for him.

I'm pretty sure he was considering it.

We have a huge list of rich libertarians from the technology sector, many of which would consider a run for office, all of them are fairly young and have the money to self-fund a campaign and pool resources into a SuperPAC for other candidates. I'd love to see it.

Dont know exactly where he stands but based on the millions hes giving to Ron Paul, yes.

I'd love to see him run for Congress. I think the guy is actually really electable, he's smart, and he shares many principles that Ron Paul stands up for.

mos def. Dude is pretty hardcore. He is a big supporter of seasteading. I'd be interested to know just how libertarian he is, i'd be willing to bet he's more of an an-cap.

The only problem I could see with his electability is that he's openly gay and has to win a primary in the party of bigots (GOP), but then again, he lives in California which is pretty socially liberal.

he is a billionare. billionaires don't run for state office. He should run for the senate at minimum.

i'm afraid he'd have to truly run as an indy because i bet he's pro-choice, and not to mention the fact that he would oppose the GOP machine. Not only that but he is gay, and that wouldn't jive well with the GOP. He's a billionaire though. He would have a great chance to win whatever he ran for.

with enough money he could run an indy campaign.

Sorry, by state office, I meant represent his state in the US Congress. He isn't US born, so he couldn't run for the Presidency ever unless that rule was amended.

I just want to see what the consensus is among other Ron Paul supporters, because if everyone here seems to like him, we should contact him urging him to run.

I'll give it a bit of time though.

Unfortunately most people won`t vote for him because he`s gay. How do you think most would feel about having a gay president?

Well, he can't run for President, because he was born in Germany. He lives in California though, which is pretty socially liberal. Others say he could run as an independent and skip the GOP primaries.

I would be interested in him running for president if it was legal, but I think he can do more good as a venture capitalist than becoming some bs congressman.

Obama was most likely born in another country and he is president. Maybe Theil can do the same.

I've only seen one of his interviews, but he seemed very smart. He very critical of education and how its largely a waste of time. He also stated that basically every industry outside of technology is overregulated and as a result, not a good investment.

Okay, so researching more into it, he lives in SF.

Therefore, if he won a House seat, he'd be defeating Nancy Pelosi!

The Senators to California are Barbera Boxer and Dianne Feinstein.
