Well the speech was to a taxpayer group so it should have been about the economy. Should have been more solutions though than past predictions
I didn't have a problem with him sticking to the economy. I think he just needs to explain how the current policies are going to effect the everyday lives of people. China is going to stop lending us money.....okay how is that going to affect Suzy Jo raising her 3 kids? He needs to simplify and bottom line it.

Well maybe you guys should watch the rest of his speech first. It is on YouTube somewhere... I don't have the link though.
Everyone here needs to stop bluffing and actually post the rest of this speech, if it exists. I have yet to find it.
He did not hold back... he was dissing Bush in his speech. I'm not sure if that was a good idea, but we now know that Peter Schiff will be running as Peter Schiff.
He said from the outset that he wasn't going to play politician.
That is great strategy, but there are still basic guidelines he should follow - a better stump speech is one of them.
I agree. He needs to utilize his "laser-focus" ability to repeat the same story over and over in slightly different ways, and calibrate it to his now significantly broader audience. He's no longer talking to people with active or passive interests in finances (even though that group is significantly larger now than before); he needs to talk to everyone.
"Here's who I am. I saw the upcoming economic troubles, and it was not a case of a broken clock being right. We are now on the path to repeat the mistakes much larger. [Truncate the speech on that, his favorite issue, right there, and move on]. We need to clean up the GOP's house first, then we can focus on the DEMs. It does no good to elect a big-government Republican like my opponents. I am running for one term to try to stop almost everything Washington is doing." Etc.
