If he ever decides to start I will be more than happy to bitch about it.
When Schiff starts campaigning, this is what I hope it will look like:
Map of Campaign Appearances with Dates
I live in CA, and have been following Chuck Devore's campaign for senate. That primary is on June 8th 2010. Look at all the appearances he already has, now that's commitment!
You haven't even watched the video, because one of the first things that he says is that the primary isn't until next AUGUST... and you are saying June up in that post up there..
He had commitments that he made before he decided to run. He is holding those commitments and not making any additional commitments so that he can focus on the campaign when his prior commitments have been completed.
That's true. Or you can collect a lot of republican signatures to get on the ballot.Isn't there a convention in June with all the party insiders before the August primary? If I'm not mistaken, Peter has to get 15% of the party rank and file to support him in the June convention -- just to get his name on the ballot in August's primary. That's no small feat.
As far as his previous commitments, does he really have so many that he can't begin to campaign as well? I have a hard time believing that he has no time to go to party events.
Jeez, give him some time. I'll wait to see what happens in a few weeks.
I love the apparent sectarianism on this board.
The fact of the matter is that Peter Schiff has prior commitments he has to honor. After that is done with, he can campaign.
Now compare that to Rand Paul: Rand already was a leader of the Kentucky Taxpayers Union, so he already has time set aside to do political activites; also, Rand was a doctor so he didn't have the same type of commitments that Schiff has; lastly, the primaries in CT are much later than the primaries in KY.
Any more peabrains here want to split the liberty movement?
Alright - knock off the bashing of candidates. If you don't support one of them, just don't bother posting in his subforum.
Anyway, I think this is a good idea. This is one way that Schiff can get his out-of-state-support to campaign for him. I think that this is pretty genius. I want to get involved with this and I hope other RPF members will too.
For $2.95 a month, one can get unlimited calls to landlines and cellphones in the US and Canada through Skype. So if a few RPF members would be willing to sacrifice some of their leisure time and a few dollars for a few months, we could really turn Connecticut politics around.
LOL! Schiff didn't start campaigning yet, but he's bad at campaigning? Gimme a break people. Ask yourself when the Kentucky primary is and then compare that to when Rand started.
