Are there any graphic designers, Photoshop enthusiasts, that would like to collaborate? I think it would be helpful to the campaign if we could collaborate and come up with: Pamphlets, T-Shirts, Bumper Stickers (beyond the norm), Signs, Stencils, Videos, etc. Do I think these will be used by Schiff? I don't know, but I do know it could save him a lot of time, and money, if our ideas could be adapted for use. These things could also be used by those wishing to campaign for Schiff in CT.

I emailed Mr.Schiff asking for HI-Res photographs of himself. Unfortunately he has yet to come up with any, and the only thing I was provided with is this
It's nothing new but it is larger.

The winner in a logo Design contest:

Is it official? I don't know, but it should work for now. (Contact me for Higher Res)

Not into graphic design? Don't fret, if you want to help me (us?) out, perhaps you could provide P.S quotes. If you could cite the video in which you heard it (Location, Topic, Time in video) that would be VERY HELPFUL in putting a video together.

Of course I would also be interested in getting a hold of any high-res pictures of P.S you all may have. Maybe from a Speech he gave?

ART IS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL
Hopefully I don't need to post a dozen of these:

to remind you of that. If we could get these in the hands of supporters...

Post if your interested. I will be over at Deviantart trying to get people who did RP pieces.

Needs to be touched up a bit more but hopefully this can save you some time.

I'm run a t-shirt printing shop and have some design skills. Let's get it done.

Update

Just thought I would share what I have thus far. I've been busy, and know this is shit, but it's a concept and due to change. It's the "Charter Oak" straight off the back of a CT Quarter.

Critiques of the concept (usage of the "Charter Oak") are welcome. Ideas would be appreciated. Usually I work off the photo I have but we're lacking. Let me know if you want the .psd .

Here's the tree on white matte. It should be easy to lift, but if you need something larger, I can provide you with a .psd.

I extended the wall and (sloppily) added some grass.

I can throw the tree on a t-shirt ENDG4M3 if you want to run with it. Just let me know...

While I think the Charter Oak is a great idea and is great to stir up some state pride, I am worried that it doesn't bring Schiff any greater visibility to those who do not know him. I would use it as an alternate and favor a design that incorporates his face.

Other symbolic imagery:
Outline of the State
Grape Vines (see: CT State Seal)
Lighthouse (for Long Island Sound)
Whale
Huskey

Yeah I would prefer to incorporate a picture of the man himself; however he only has one Hi-Res picture.

Perhaps you could contact him or someone from the exploratory committee directly somehow about getting more photos?

As for your current graphic, I think it looks very good so far. I would, however, bring up the issue of the spacing of the "U.S. SENATE OCT 2010" on the bottom. The lack of a sufficient space between SENATE and OCT makes microsecond glances significantly less effective (hmuans raed frist and lsat letetrs wehn raeidng qiukcly). Further, I would recommend attempting to make the PETER SCHIFF part bolder so it stands out more. Either make it a single color or reduce the contrast significantly while lightening the colors (as if viewed through a brightly lit blurry lens).

What about a picture of him pixelated to look like a painting or something like whats on his youtube page

I thought something like this might look cool. Just an idea anyway.

Great concept!

My strong points are typography, design execution and printing up t-shirts.

I like the idea relating the 'sound money' and CT coin theme to PS. I will see what I can come up with tonight. Until then, throw out more ideas, people.

Reminds me of the scary tree in the movie The Ring.

Ok well I made these for now. If you want other sizes you have to let me now ASAP I am going on vacation for a week and will not be able to change anything for a week!

My copy of Illustrator went down, and I need someone to touch these up, but here's what I got.

Pamphlet Cover

If the concepts accepted I can draft the inside as well. Naturally, the layout will be exactly like that of the book.

I would suggest that this be handed out with the pamphlet.

I don't know, what do you think?
