it's just kinda amazing rather than being brought down by 'isolationist', rand paul is elevating the term by people calling him with it.

it's like rand has enough leverage from the people to say, 'stop calling me an isolationist. you won't? okay, then, let's redefine the term'. notice how he also completely avoids academic debate on definition of isolationism as that's what ron paul liked to do? rand just gives examples of syria and egypt and points out the lunacy.

I self-identified as isolationist until I joined this site. I've met several people who have self-identified as such as well. Not everyone who uses the term uses it in a derogatory way. Its technically wrong, unless a person truly wants to entirely close off the country from the world, but its not always derogatory.

Obviously this doesn't apply to Peter King....
