Perry is on his way out. Time to work on Romney.

A lot of people shy away from Ron Paul because of how they see his foreign policy. I really hope he can get a little bit more indepth on his foreign policy tonight on the Daily Show so that people get a better understanding of his beliefs. I don't think that he'll be able to move past Romney until this issue is addressed.

Honestly, I think Romney isn't as dangerous as he appears. Yes, he's above Dr. Paul in the polls, but he really doesn't have deep support. He's floating there because no one has made the effort to take him down. Why? Because everyone kind of knows he's not the guy. He's the last of the last resorts. The establishment has had a steady stream of anti-Romneys for a reason.

If Perry crashes all the way down, Romney will be the top guy. Then they'll bring in Palin to split the Tea Party vote. Keep in mind Bachmann has been on the decline since Iowa.

We need to get Ron from a 7% average to 20%. I can't really stand reading that "Perry is on his way out" when he's polling a full 20 points ahead of us. If he's on his way out, where are we?

It takes time for that sentiment to be reflected in the polls. It took Bachmann a few weeks to drop from where she was.

Under the conditions we have now, Palin would likely just win fairly easily. And "they" don't trust Palin. Of course, "they" hate Ron Paul even more.

It's different. Perry's popularity is a media created bubble that once burst falls away. Dr Paul has a solid base popularity that won't be going anywhere. It doesn't grow fast because it doesn't get 24 media coverage, but over time the base will grow. Don't forget no body even gets to vote until next February. It's gonna be a long road.

O'Reilly just played the "Dancing with the Rabbis" clip on his show. That is a campaign killer because he looks like such a dork. Reminds me of Dukakis in the tank and Kerry in his space suit.

I have a roommate who is a Rick Perry support, he said he doesn't care what anyone says about Rick Perry, he's still voting for him. Got to say, he's an idiot. He's a supporter that does nothing for his campaign. The roommate doesn't donate money, doesn't go to rallies, don't go out and promote him at all. He says he supports Rick Perry only because he puts people to death. Also I should say the roommate is a police officer and says he could give a rat's ass about the Constitution.... what na idiot!

sarah palin and chris christie have been holding back from being the next flavor of the month as rick perry fades fast...

This is just dumb. Perry isn't going to exit the race simply because he had one bad debate. The new CNN poll that was taken after the last debate still has Perry in first. Unfortunately, Ron is fading away from the 3rd place spot as well. Gingrich is in 3rd in the new CNN poll. We're going to have to work hard simply to get Ron back into a solid 3rd place position.

There probably won't be a single Republican watching that show, so it won't matter.

I was reading the thread on physorg after an article on time travel. This guy popped in and said "Time travel is true. I am from the future and to prove it I am going to tell you the 2012 Presidential election was won by a landslide."

Uhh....

Excuses are being made for Perry, who supposedly had back surgery and was in a bunch of pain standing up for the two-hour debate. Of course, he's WAY too much of a he-man to mention it himself.

LOLZ

Perry is going, or is done, even according to Morning Joe earlier this morning, and the Hill this afternoon. Paul's attack ad on him, and his unexpectedly raising the Gardasil and Gore connection issue in the debates took the MSM by surprise, and contributed to the exposure of Perry's fatal flaws faster than would have otherwise surfaced. As a result, the establishment's plan A is broken. I always have believed Romney was their real chosen one, but he needed 2-3 popular social conservatives (Perry, Bachmann, maybe Palin) to cancel each other out and split that vote in the early primaries, so Romney could squeak by like McCain did in 2008.

But Bachmann has already puttered out, Perry is sinking, Palin is still AWOL, and none of the other NWO/neocons (except, temporarily, Cain) is showing any fire. That leaves Romney and Paul as the only two with the money and support to go at it in a real two-man race. The elite media will try to push up one of the others, but they have no plausible basis (as none of them are winning anything, have any funds, and were already cast as lackluster by the media). That leaves the MSM no choice but to acknowledge Paul as a frontrunner, and deliver the coverage that comes with it.

The problem with the classic quote "first they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win" is that in 2007 the MSM found a fourth thing to do to stop Paul---they ran out the clock. They stalled giving him real coverage and kept him out of the polls all year, so that when his lack of visibility to the masses was reflected in the early primary results, they could go on ignoring or ridiculing him. If Perry and Bachmann's early collapse is any indication, THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO RUN OUT THE CLOCK THIS TIME. That means we are going past the ignore/ridicule stages, and into the fight stage, after which we're going to win. Better get ready for the ride!

It's more than one bad debate! He's made a series of gaffes that the establishment is unhappy with. They were pumping him up before and now are dropping him. He won't drop out of the race, he'll fall to the second tier and languish there like others before him.

I don't think Perry is sinking just yet. It's going to take another month or so for Perry supporters to really begin jumping ship...and what with all the bad blood Perry and Romney have generated between each other at the debates, I don't think Romney stands to acquire many Perry supporters.

Indeed. And this is why attacking other candidates is not useful because if you get them there supporters go to another candidate. You better off to let other candidates fight it out and do your own thing, spread your won message. Dr Paul is wise man.
