PEACE, RPF, PEACE PLEASE

Time has come for Trump to receive Nobel Peace Prize.

Nah, let's give it to those savages who beheaded Christians in Syria.

I have a couple of rocks here who were insulted by your comments. They in fact are more consistent and polished than any Trump supporter ever will be.

Anyways, the thing with Trump is.. What will he think next week. There is absolutely no evidence the guy sticks to any opinion for any amount of time.

Where did Trump say that he wants to send troops to Syria to stop the neo-cons? Idiot. You were the one that said that... Trump supporters..... go figure...

Troops to destroy ISIS. ISIS = neocon proxy army. Do the math.

Those Christians have brown skin and you probably couldn't tell them apart from the other brown skin people you hate so let's stop pretending like you give a damn about the "Christians" over there either. Especially since you couldn't pick one out of a lineup. Trump supporter logic...

You are as sharp as a ball aren't you? ISIS much like Al Qaeda hs been used by the neo-cons as the reason we should invade countless countries. You being the idiot you are now trying to convince people that we should invade Syria to stop ISIS and your reasoning is because they are a neo-con proxy.... what stupid logic in that? You are supporting the neo-con cause by saying you want to stop the neo-cons.... Genuis Trump supporters

Are you responding to me or someone else? I didn't say or even imply any of what you just wrote.

No, but it failed at the task, making someone stop.

That said, I'm not of the idea it was powerless to stop it, especially with the Bill of Rights in place.

I think it has authorized this government, top to bottom, fair and square, legal beagle.

so, the existence of the stop sign authorized speeding?

"I'm not of the idea it was powerless to stop it, especially with the Bill of Rights in place."
then why did it fail? and if it failed, how is it at fault?

do stop signs need lasers installed?

A man is no less a slave because he is allowed to choose a new master once in a term of years.

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain:

That it has either authorized such a government as we have,

Or has been powerless to prevent it.

In either case, it is unfit to exist.

So here again I see these complaints, no solutions. Yes, I've read your stuff, there is nothing you have ever suggested that won't itself turn into centralized power just as bad or worse than what we have now.

Obviously no system or piece of paper will ever be a physical restraint against power, such a thing does not exist. I make no claims as to having some idea that will lead us all to the "utopia".

I only claim there is the possibility for at least a smaller govt, but of course it will not last, people just get lazy and apathetic and there is always someone there waiting to take advantage of it.

Small govt and self-reliance are just something a populace has to believe in and continually work for, you think the founders were blind to this? Why do you think Ben Franklin said "We've given you a Republic...if you can keep it".

(Mod edit) they invoke Ron when it suits them, brush him aside when it suits them. Me, I just say right off the bat, there are many things I like about Ron, some things not so much, but I always respect the guy.

So you are for New World Order, you are an Internationalist and like that kind you go around shilling groups and States constantly trying to tear them apart from the inside, that is the only reason you are here.... I see.

No. What a ridiculous accusation.

A piece of paper failed? Hardly. The failure was in the people allowing it to be disregarded.

No, like I stated, I think it has authorized it.

All of it.

Fair and Square.

Just ask the government judges, they will be happy to tell you everything government is doing is legal and by the book.

I have come to the understanding that the constitutional convention of 1787 was a counter revolutionary action. This was the primary insight of the anti-federalists. They knew what was being cooked up behind armed guards and closed doors in Philadelphia. They knew that consolidation of the states under a federal monolith would result in a tyranny much worse that the one just overthrown. Sadly, they were unable to stop it.

As I have stated over and over again, I would have no issue at all with the idea of restraining and downsizing the FedGov to the size and level of power that we, not government judges, understand the constitution and bill of rights to authorize or prohibit.

Just so long as that, in so doing, it is understood where the original document, plan and organization failed, or succeeded, depending on how much of Hamilitonian you are, and that it is not suitable to just "restore" it and have to go through this all over again in 20 or 200 years.

Start over with the AoC and DoI...the declaration, especially, now that, that is truly a revolutionary document.

The solution is simple: dissolution, secession and re-booting.

Let the states devolve into even smaller entities, or, group together as they see fit, based on common understanding and values.

What do I have in common with, say, the average resident of NYC, or Ill-Annoy or California?

Based on what they say and do, nothing.

So why am I held in bondage and servitude to them?

by that logic, RonPaulForums is a "statist" website. and as the top member... you are the lead "statist"? :toady:

Why restore something that is going to lead right to the same place?

It would be like "restoring" bad directions to a destination you never reached.
