Well....

In light of new evidence and against what I would normally say was a bad price for this project I think the powers that be has now pushed me closer towards supporting this project than opposing it. Even if this pilot Roger or whatever his name is ends up making money on the deal as opposed to doing it for cost doesn't really matter now with this new information. The official campaign workers need to learn to let grassroots be grassroots even if they make poor decisions don't go ahead and disguise yourself as something your not? I feel bad now because that's exactly what I was telling Tangent not to do with the whole "At Cost" argument and here there are some in our circles that are doing the same thing with the justification of good intentions, you know what they say about the road to hell? It's paved with stones of them.

LOL this is sad I can't believe I'm having to type this, but yea I am all for grassroots supporting the campaign and getting Ron Paul elected through Phone Calls, Door to Door, Money Bombs, GOTV, etc. I participated in these in 2007 and try to get as many to support them now. But we cannot lose sight of our principles in the process.

And I understand we as grassroots sometimes ask as we did in 2007 for some leadership from the official campaign, but this is not the way to do it. I will make it a point to support any grassroots effort or project that is trying to be manipulated in one form or another through false personalities or lies regardless of where they come from. Ron Paul would never in a million years support the behavior that is being shown, political tactics aside when it comes to grassroots it's better to let grassroots be grassroots else be prepared to feel the whirlwind. Have these people still not understood the concept of blowback?

Not Parocks. ZanZibar. Parocks is just sceptical, but without bad intention. And he suggested yestarday to contact you for recording flight, and all in all had constructive sceptical approach about cost and organizational skills. But he helped too. And from other threads - he is not bad guy, definately.

Everytime somebody starts a project, the same two trolls start the questioning : Can we trust the person collecting the money? What if they screw up and the project falls apart? What if the money would be better spend somewhere else? What if we're wasting money? Remember what happened last time? Why isn't there any accountability? Why isn't anybody screening these projects?

I know you weren't here, but last campaign we had fun with the politics, while the campaign sat on their hands. As a result of all that money we wasted, Ron Paul got media attention for a full 4 years, and now has an 80% name recognition.

The trolls are right - that stuff doesn't win elections, but it really inspired people. We had lots of people decide to run for office as a direct result of the grassroots experiences.

Now the campaign is trying to quash the Revoution, and using trolls to do it.

I'd like to see it happen. From what I could see driving by it looked pretty damn cool. I mean why not? This is what makes us different than the rest. Dude was flying what appeared to be almost stall speed, I'd be interested to learn more about what he is flying and how he manages to keep it in the air at that speed.

I e-mailed him and asked for 7pm, but everything depends on weather. I have not paid him for tomorrows flight yet. This could still get canceled.

I PM'd you his phone number so you can talk to him and adapt to any last minute time changes. Sunset is at 7:20pm and the plane looks best after dark.
