It's prudent to point out that there is a relatively extremely small handful of people who manipulate monetary policy and benefit hugely from that manipulation.
As long as they are in bubble creation mode, the spill over benefits a much larger group of people who all basically know it's a gamed system, but don't want to upset the apple cart.
Today, the apple cart has been upset, is a total wreck and has been towed away, so that larger group who benefitted from the successive bubbles is seeing no bubble and for the first time in a generation are... scared.
In '07 I had an investment analyst who knew how vehemently I supported RP because of many conversations we had on the subject (at his initiation) call me, and it went like this:
HIM: So, say you couldn't vote for RP, who would be your 2nd choice?
ME: No one.
HIM: Say he isn't running, then who would you vote for?
ME: No one.
HIM: C'mon, you know what I'm saying here...
ME: I wouldn't vote at all. There is only Ron Paul. It's the chance of a lifetime because there isn't anyone else like him as a choice. Period.
HIM: OK... say they have your sons and threaten to harm them if you don't vote and RP isn't a choice. Then, who would you pick?
[No sh!t, the guy actually asked me that]
ME: OK, now you're just being insane. Tell me what you're getting at here.
HIM: Well, a lot of people I know like a lot of what RP says, but he scares them.
ME: Be honest. You mean he scares YOU.
HIM: YES.
IOW, they know RP is right about the budget, wars, FED, monetary policy, etc. But, they make a lucrative living off that system and don't want to see it go.
Today, it's vastly different because the bubbles are burst and there is no new bubble on the horizon. Financially, up is down and black is white. Now they're scared of the very system there were afraid to see go because it went. And, they know who predicted it would burst when everyone else was lavishing glowing reviews of the system.
Want war? Where you gonna get the $$?
Want a new bubble? No can do with all this debt.
Saved your $$? How much is it worth today vs 2007?
Invest it? In WHAT?
Yes, it's the economy, so don't shy away from talking up RP to the financials crowd. The timing is PERFECT and this article is great amnunition.
