Paul is at 11 % in CNN South Carolina POLL

The news today is that people are dropping Huck like a hot rock (on the morning radio shows). Unfortunately, it seems they're moving to Romney....

What a close race this is going to be.

Polls have lost all credibility with me.

Huckabee #1, give me a break.

Exactly! If the Huckster is so well loved, why isn't anyone... ANYONE donating to his campain. Is it because there is no-one?

1. Huckabee
2. Thompson
3. Giuliani
3. Romney
5. McCain
6.
7. Ron Paul

Yes, I know I put 3rd place twice, but they said Giuliani and Romney are tied. There's no 6th place, though, but I don't think a lot of readers/viewers will pick up on that. And that's what they're counting on. But lets keep spreading Ron Paul's message. They can't show a poll without showing 1st place. :D

You think Duncan Hunter or Tancredo got 6th?

Aye, we're sixth place. But we're sixth, and in double digits.

Edit to correct: Hmm, that's strange, it does list us as seventh. Not sure what that's about.

well, lets be honest, he has had a bump in funds. He is averaging about 70k a day now.

Absolutely, let's be honest here. Huck has clearly the 2nd best grassroots, the 2nd biggest internet presence, and the second most motivated and exciting campaign after ours. Considering all of the love he's getting from the media and evangelicals, I'm not surprised at all that he's winning South Carolina. Also, his fundraising is very good this quarter. I would be shocked if he's lower than 4th among GOP candidates for the 4th quarter.

true, but lets be honest about 6% of republicans will show up to vote in the primary process, then take into account our 8% or more will show up for RON PAUL,so unless huckabee can get his supporters to show,he wont win,but on the other note,i feel confident RON PAUL supporters are gonna show up in droves and that huckabees numbers will sink like a rock next few weeks when his record is fully known

No, since Huckabee's supporters are dedicated, he will likely do BETTER than the polls say. The people who will struggle are people like Romney and Rudy, who have supporters that just view them as the least of a number of evils or who think that they will hold their nose and vote for whoever has the best chance to beat Hillary. Those people aren't going to walk a mile in the snow to go vote for them. For example, Romney's Iowa campaign has by far the largest staff and the best get-out-of-the-vote plans. But most people believe he'll need his superior GOTV effort just to equal the turnout of Huck's supporters, who won't need someone from the campaign to call them up in order to go vote.

I hope Huckabee takes a tank, as well, as he might be the worst candidate of them all. But if the SC caucus were held today, Huck would win and Paul would not.

I was sceptical of this when it was on Drudge, but now its confirmed on CNN.

Bravo South Carolina! We are in the mix to WIN.

"The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll of South Carolinians was released Friday Huckabee was the choice of 24 percent of South Carolina Republicans in the survey conducted by telephone between Dec. 9 and 12. When the same poll was conducted in July, Huckabee was in the lower tier with just 3 percent of support from registered GOP voters.

Former Sen. Fred Thompson was second with 17 percent, slightly down from his previous 18 percent.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who led in July with 30 percent, dropped to a tie for third with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, both at 16 percent. Romney's showing was a major improvement of his 6 percent standing in the previous survey.

The poll showed Sen. John McCain falling from 21 percent in July — the second highest — to a fifth place 13 percent now. Rep. Ron Paul's 11 percent for seventh was a major boost from the two percent registered by the July survey."

Giuliani dropped 14%?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Giuliani dropped 14%?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

This is since mid-July. Giuliani has pretty much dropped about 10-15 points across the board everywhere since mid-July. Remember, you can only compare a poll to previous polls from the same polling firm. Don't get confused by websites which generally don't listen to the statisticians and pollsters and simply compare each poll with recent polls from other polling firms which use different metholodologies.

Awesome. We're tied for fifth (margin of error, CNN) and everyone above us is in striking distance. Turnout and understated support could push us very high or even to the top.

SO LAME!!!

They just showed the new polls on South Carolina and this is what was displayed on the tv..

Huckabee 24%
Thompson 17%
Giuliani 16%
Romney 16%

NO sign of Paul coming in at 11%!!!! What a crock
