Newt Gingrich Paul/Gingrich would be a done deal

There are three possible VP choices and they are all on stage. I don't like it one bit and wanted someone like Judge Napolitano. However, that is how the convention will roll if Ron gets the nomination. He is going to have to create a coalition with one of these guys and offer them something of import for their delegates. If someone can give me a realistic scenario where Ron does not have to create a coalition with one of these guys and can hand pick say a Jim deMint then explain it to me and the forum. I think the guy they think they will deal with will be Romney at this point.

There are a lot of other positions besides VP that he can use as leverage. I'm just saying I don't think there's any way he can win unless it's just him and his principles vs Obama. The only way he can win vs. Obama is if he gets someone with roughly the same principles or who would be willing to support his principles as VP. If he has to run with one of the three people left, then face it, many Paul people just won't vote for him because of it. That's going to cost him dearly in the general election. The only way we can win is to have Ron and his principles own Obama in a debate and have the American people squarely on Ron's side or at least prefer him to Obama. Any of the other candidates who are left would be a liability to his candidacy. I would probably still vote for him, but I wouldn't like it. I really don't think that many Paul supporters would support a ticket like that, though.

So op but hell no.

I'd be ok with Romney as VP, cause i think paul can school him to be more constitutional since he is so flip floppy.

Hell no.

I might be able to live with Romney and but definitely not Gingrich.
