I'd sooner have Romney as VP than somebody like Newt if we're actually going for appeasing some of our enemies (which I still think would be a questionable idea). These nutcases may appear scary, but I have a feeling they'd vote for Paul anyway since their hatred for Obama is so intense. Newt Gingrich belongs in a jail cell, not in elected office.

I believe we need a VP to give a contrasting view from Paul in order for them to civilly debate any issue, and see it from both sides.
