Ron is fighting the good fight. He says he's going to stay in until the end, and the campaign is doing everything possible to win delegates. There are approximately 521 delegates up for grabs at the convention, and there will be more with Santorum dropping out. We intend to invite all delegates to the Paul Festival to experience the message of freedom, and have a lot of fun doing it!
As with other events that this team has organized, where Dr. Paul has attended, it will be peace loving and family oriented. The goal is to have a bona fide festival, so there will be musical acts (of different genres), comedy, speakers, celebrity appearances with pictures and autographs, book signings, big screens showing Dr. Paul's famous speeches, vendors of all sorts, and really great food! Anything that is adult oriented will be held during the evening hours.
We plan to invite all the high-profile celebrities, musicians, comedians, athletes, politicians, speakers, authors - you name it- who have shown support or endorsed Dr. Paul. This will provide us with an opportunity to expose their fans/supporters to Dr. Paul's message, while enjoying appearances by their favorite celebrities.

Cheapseats, we're having a festival, we're not protesting anything. The clean zone ordinance has to do with demonstrations and protests, etc.
This implies that our movement is over just because Romney gets annointed by the RNC.

You don't imply, you STATE that it is a HISTORICAL CHANCE TO SHIFT THE PARADIGM, and that WE ARE NOT PROTESTING ANYTHING. I do not see how those two even square with EACH OTHER, much less with NO ONE BUT PAUL.
CROSS THAT BRIDGE WHEN WE COME TO IT is typically reserved for possible GOOD things and SUPER IMPROBABLE bad things, not reality-based concerns.

We're not accepting donations yet, as we are in the process of getting legal advice on how to file the org. Note that we are in the early planning stages of this. We decided to let the grassroots know because we need volunteers. The march planning took at least 200 volunteers to make happen.
If the event gets cancelled, everyone gets their money back, of course! What a weird question. Do you suspect that I intend to defraud people? Are you a troll? I noticed you haven't been here all that long.

Just asking because I didn't see anything on the site regarding that. The money could be donated to a worthy cause, returned, etc. I was merely asking because I may have helped you out financially. I don't know you from Adam, and just because you have 11,000 posts on a web forum does not mean I will write you a check. I like to know where my money is going before I donate it.
Why ask me about donations? I could just lie my ass off to you. I would expect everyone planning on donating to do their 'due diligence'. Shouldn't be too hard, I've been around a while. Ask the owners of this forum about me, ask Tom Woods, Mike Scheuer, Ernie Hancock, Ed Griffin, Naomi Wolfe, Adam Kokesh, Michael Maresco, and Gary Franchi about me, for starters. They all know me. Ask the producers of the documentary 'For Liberty' who I am, since I was featured in it.
I simply had some questions about the intentions of the event, the contingency plans and the financing. Those questions really are not out of the ordinary, but apparently you got defensive when asked.
I was willing to help out if it seemed like a worthwhile project and any concerns that I might have were addressed. But at this point, I am really no longer interested, but wish you the best of luck on it.
Is this like "Rally for the Republic II"? I know it is different in that it is totally grassroots (?) as opposed to some of RP's remaining funds being used to kick the first one off, and get C4L going. Just asking for some clarification on facts. If school started a week later, I'd want to be there, one way or another.

I don't understand anyone questioning this event or doubting the intentions of the organizers. Deb has been ACTIVELY involved since day one of these forums and has influenced and motivated tons of people to the cause of Liberty. Any negativity on this thread leads people to question THOSE intentions, not those who are organizing/supporting this event.
There are folks around here who post absolutely nothing positive to forward our cause. They question everything others do, while subtly making suggestions that many feel are COUNTER productive to our activities. Why?
