Yeah, they are trying to make it more official because 'random internet troll' doesn't stick very well to Ron.

Ron Paul and the official campaign had nothing to do with this stupid, anonymous, YouTube posted video. Ron Paul did not authorize, approve or even know about it. Case closed.

For those of you saying we shouldn't go after Huntsman on this as the source of the dirty trick, I don't think you understand the situation. Huntsman was the one who brought this random youtube video to the attention of the national press. Huntsman was the one who set off this whole firestorm - albeit aided by a complicit media. Whether or not the referral from jon2012 conclusively pinpoints Huntsman as the source of this smear is totally irrelevant. Huntsman is still responsible.

So share the examiner article, share Ben Swann's facebook page, drag Huntsman's name through the mud. We are trying to do well in New Hampshire - at the expense of Huntsman.

history books grover cleveland actually had an illigitimate daughter but william mckinley did not have any other children other than the two who are in the big

leaped to their conclusions foregetting that there are freelance operates in federal elections who hellhound unleash merrie scratch mischeif on the unwary...

Huntsman running to the press, whining and crying over a random youtube video, for the express purpose of smearing and slandering Ron Paul, does not seem to fit within the confines of a "dignified" presidential campaign.

Agree. No need to jump the gun until the real computer forensics are complete.

I would add to the known facts that the first two organizations that publicized the video are the Huntsman people and RedState. Why would a Paul supporter make a rude smear piece and send it to those two entities first, with a convenient "return address" for placing blame added to the end of the video?

this is at that level but more sophisticated. think billiards. pool halls. banking shots and clever scams.

saying it, as the media does, hurts Ron because it sounds more official, as if REvPak or a pac for Ron did it, instead of some random troll trying to hurt Ron.

That is a logical explanation, but I don't think it being sent to them from the outside actually means anything. Obviously they wouldn't want it to be directly linked to them so having it "sent" to them "anonymously" is a pretty good dodge of responsibility. Gingrich has largely stuck to his promise to not get dirty, but Hunstman's campaign have been putting out some of the most vile anti-Paul crap out there. I really don't think this kind of tactic is beneath them in any way. Note that the vid stats no longer include the Huntsman campaign referral and since we are the only ones who really brought it up most people are not going to buy a screen cap as legitimate.
