Pat Buchanan calls for intervention in Nigeria

I love (not really) the caption underneath the video on YouTube:

"Sign the petition to arrest Marxist collaborator Marco Rubio at mofopolitics.com"

I wasn't aware arrest was a matter of petition and argumentum ad populum. Holy anti-libertarian (not that Rubio is libertarian or anything - although his immigration stance was hardly as anti-liberty as the closed border conservative crowd's and its base's stance, which is partly why he's being called a "Marxist collaborator").

Nigeria isn't our problem. I hate to be callous, but there it is. Why is the kidnapping and forced conversion of 200 girls any more tragic than the far more than 200 innocent people, including children, our government has murdered with drones simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time (like at a wedding where some suspected terrorist was)? And Boko Haram hates us...big deal. When they get nukes and an ICBM (and aim it at us), let me know.

Buchanan has spent too much time in the media world... he's becoming one of them.

The correct answer is it's none of our business.

white republican guilt. What he's really saying is, 'republicans are perceived as racist, and we (repubs) have a chance to get some positive PR by helping those 'black folks'..and to hell with the Constitution.

that is all.....

Its non of US business. Their interference in Libya has helped the many radical islamic groups in the area to upgrade their arsenal and now Pat want em to intervene some more?

Yep. Hannity has been saying the exact same thing since day one on this. Buchanan went on Hannity radio, and now Buchanan is parroting Hannity.

Mogadishu, all over again...

Useful idiots or intentionally malevolent, the people want to know...

Yes, because being an open border one-worlder is oh so pro-freedom.

Good point, but also think of the hundreds of innocent Nigerians that will be killed by us if we send troops and drones into Nigeria to rescue the 200 girls.

Pat put himself in a corner here. It reminded me of how Gary Johnson did same during an interview on FOX news.

Sure, his legislation is far from perfect, one of the problems being that it goes too far on E-verify and not far enough on securing the existing border, and I'm glad Rand's amendment tried to stop that, but ultimately we need to do something with the illegals and we can't just deport them. We need at least some form of immigration reform legislation and I'm glad Rubio (and Cato, who were involved in writing it) have put something of substance on the table, regardless of its deep flaws.

What are you for? A ban on all immigration to prevent strain on the welfare state? Legal immigration has as much of an impact on that as illegal immigration.

Great. Just give us a congressional declaration of war against Nigeria and we're there..Maybe we can make it a package deal and make permanent stops in Uganda and the Sudan as well.
