Pancho & Lefty -- Live by Willie and Dylan

Love Dylan & Nelson!

How bout:

YouTube - Bob Dylan & Willie Nelson - Heartland (1993)

There's a home place under fire tonight in the Heartland
And the bankers are takin' my home and my land from me
There's a big achin' hole in my chest now where my heart was
And a hole in the sky where God used to be

There's a home place under fire tonight in the Heartland
There's a well with water so bitter nobody can drink
Ain't no way to get high and my mouth is so dry that I can't speak
Don't they know that I'm dyin', Why nobody cryin' for me?

My American dream
Fell apart at the seams.
You tell me what it means,
You tell me what it means.

My American dream
Fell apart at the seams.
You tell me what it means,
You tell me what it means

YouTube - Merle Haggard "America First"

Why don't we liberate these United States
We're the ones who need it the worst
Let the rest of the world help us for a change
And let's rebuild America first

Our highways and bridges are falling apart
Who's blessed and who has been cursed
There's things to be done all over the world
But let's rebuild America first

Who's on the hill and who's watching the valley
Who's in charge of it all
God bless the Army and God bless our liberty
Dadgum the rest of it all

Yeah, men in position but backing away
Freedom is stuck in reverse
Let's get out of Iraq and get back on the track
And let's rebuild America first

Why don't we liberate these United States
We're the ones who need it the most
You think I'm blowing smoke
Boys it ain't no joke
I make twenty trips a year from coast to coast

I know most folks are metal/alt/emo fans here, but I had to share what I thought was a great rendition of Pancho & Lefty.
Thanks.
Been a Willie fan for years.
Saw him live inside a Maximum Security Prison in the 80s
A good day in a bad place. still in my memory.

Nice ---- lots of great stuff to check out after work!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, if you want a great mix of music to just stream free on the internet, go to www.pandora.com

Then start a playlist -- I used "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams Jr ---- and then pandora picks out other songs it thinks you might like.

I use it everyday -- plays a great mix of HWJr, Willie, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Reed, David Allen Coe, Toby Keith (I like a lot of his stuff)

Toby Kieth...I had heard a few things from him right after 9/11, kinda the typical neocon blustering and good ol boy nonsense.

Now, I think his tune has changed.

My favorite of his is "I Love This Bar".

I'll have to listen sometime.

I'm no fan of most country music, especially what passes for "pop" country today.

But I have to admit to enjoying the fringe of country music, outlaw country.
