That they will, and those F#$@ing nuts will think it's the 4th of July. This is a real threat.
He asked a valid question. It does not call for you to insult him. Either put up with something better than a wikipedia citation or back off.
So, how would a non-intervention foreign policy stop this? This has me confused, and I'm afraid our government is going to do something completely stupid in response.
i admit i lashed out, but you equally do the same...wiki is completely valid, it has plenty of references to committee reports & other official documents & reports
I agree

This sort of propaganda has its precedent - the military today even has specific regiments whose purpose is to distribute pamphlets and the like in Iraq and Afghanistan, but that's not surprising - more surprising is the work the CIA did in Nicaragua, specifically in encouraging the dissatisfied among the population of engaging in economic/argricultural sabotage and such like, and providing them material to explain how to do so, also known as: The Freedom Fighter's Manual - copies of which were air-dropped into the country by the CIA.
/edit and for more on the Iran-Contra scandal in Nicaragua here's the wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran/Contra - I like wikipedia as an umbrella of information and a good starting point to learn about specific events - don't take anything on wikipedia at face value of course, but I encourage following the citations and doing your own research on subjects(Not directed at anyone just musing generally).
Thanks, I have to admit I didn't know about the textbooks, and I'm sure they had an impact of instilling radicalism in the youth their, but what about radicals in other regions of the Middle East?
My point is, way before the the 1970's and for centuries, Islam was used to wage countless wars and acts of savagery, supported by ideas that came from the Koran. Couldn't you say that the best fuel for radical Islam has always been the distortion by Muslims of their key textbook, the Koran?
I've always maintained that extremists of any religion distort and manipulate religion to further their own agenda and drive their recruitment, Christian example #1 is the KKK, Jewish example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lehi_(group) - so I'm not really sure what your point is.
That the U.S. isn't the reason why radical Islam exists throughout history.
... and that's why Israel is suddenly saying they aren't worried about Iran - they're worried about Pakistan. ... and suddenly H.Clinton is saying Pakistan is a threat to humanity.
Quick! Liberate Them!
They're 60 miles away from the capital of Pakistan? Oh no! There are communists 90 miles away from Florida! Quick, be afraid!!
Next thing you know, they'll come up with some story about how Al Qaeda has somehow stolen a nuclear missile from Pakistan, and nobody can find it.
