The reason why we didn't win NH isn't the campaign, it isn't us supporters, it isn't the voters, the MSM, etc...

IT IS NAME AND POLICY RECOGNITION... Why do you think all the other candidates felt no shame in JACKIN OUR PLATFORM??? Because they know your average Joe doesn't know RP or his major points... What we have to do is stop sign waving, and actually getting the word out there and who he is and what his stances are... CANVASING!

We need precinct captains signed up... We need to organise an army that will counter any SMEAR tactics and will make sure that the truth of Liberty shines all accross the lands...

We need newspaper ads, loads of them... We needs that not only Say Ron Paul 2008, but signs that say WHY god dammit... Why Ron Paul??? Why are we all giving our time and efforts to Ron Paul???...

Touch people in remarkable ways... Something like the signs people wear at the Cancer Research Races... We need to touch that emotional side not only for the women vote, but to drive the inner patriot and American out of every MSM fed zombie out there...

Look at the people you've personally met... With a little it of work they are RP supporters, they just didn't hear anything from a credible sources... The MSM will be bitches, and continue to be, dont' wait for mercy from them... It's on us to go out there and make the difference...

That's what we need to do... NH is over now, we need to look forward to SC...

Thanks guys... I know it's been a tough day... I'm up at 03:50 HRS in in the morning here in England following the Candidacy of a man that will never be my president personally... Lets fix the mistakes of the past instead of analysing them over and over... The future is in our control, the past, is well... The past....

Trust me. Name recognition was not the problem in New Hampshire.

How does the Anti War vote go to McCain then? Its's not the name recognition, but which POLICY goes with WHICH NAME... I'm sure they all know Ron Paul, but they NEVER knew his stances...

Hey, question for ya....Tomorrow we will be starting a new project down here in GA: holding the huge 4x8 signs over the EXTREMELY BUSY overpasses. Are you saying that to be more effective we should have signs that say such things as: END THE WAR NOW, RON PAUL WILL SAVE OUR DOLLAR, RON PAUL WILL END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP, etc, etc, etc.?

P.S. We have been out in intersections for MONTHS passing out slimjims to our community. Obviously, we won't be passing anything out on an overpass. We are also starting our precinct canvassing. Vote is Super Tuesday.

There are a lot of factors at play.

One is the issue of 'electability'; a lot of people won't vote for someone they think has no chance. Instead, they'll vote for whichever of the two media-anointed 'frontrunners' they like best.

Another is that a lot of our on-the-ground volunteers don't understand how to reach out to the Republican base and to the elderly. A lot of our people think that whoever shouts the loudest on the street will get the most voters, but we need more people to get involved in the local GOP functions and demonstrate that Ron Paul supporters are normal people with good values who can explain the merits of their candidate effectively.

Yes... and God Bless you... I am not saying that sign waving is not good... It just doesn't help if people don't know what the essence of Ron Paul is....

Stop blaming the Establishment, and worse yet, stop blaming the campaign!

Our problem is the apathy or sheeple syndrome of the United States

Fair enough... But I am just lost as to how Huckabee can simply Hijack whatever he wants from Ron Paul and it goes un-noticed... Shouldn't people say something like 'Whoaaaa... Hold up, that's Ron Paul's stance'... Whether they like it or not???

We need to wake up that fire that's in them... While I understand that they are sheeple, they need us to rally them... To bring them over to enlightenment....

Now that can be blamed squarely on the media. They report these things when Huck says them, but completely ignore the fact that Ron's been saying them for years.

I even heard ghoul talking about goverment not in your lifes..totally stealing ron paul platform.I couldent belive he said that.

I agree with this original post. There are of course many factors to consider, but c'mon, if we each had a nickel for everytime we complained (rightly so) that the MSM is ignoring or slighting Ron Paul, we could fund his entire campaign. Think about that: we the die hard supporters are well aware that he isn't getting fair coverage. Hell, even Leno pointed this out. What this means is that millions of Americans still do not know who he is, or if they do know the name, "Ron Paul," they know very little if anything - and if it is anything it's usually, "Oh yeah, isn't he sorta like the Kucinich of the Republican party? No thanks!"

We can and should pat ourselves on the back for, in fact, being more politically aware than the average American. In that respect, we are not average, so how we behave is not at all how most Americans will behave. It's not about elitism. But, information still needs to get out. We need to realize that millions and millions of Americans don't know who Ron Paul is. I mean, c'mon Howard Stern JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT HIM. You cannot say that this isn't about name/policy recognition, because it is.

This fight is far from over. It's only two primaries out of 50. Maintain perspective!! There've been plenty of folks who've taken the New Hampshire primary, yet not won the nomination. We have every right to be dissapointed, but again, we need to pound the pavement, and be brave. It's not easy to approach people about politics. Isn't that the popular assumption? "Don't talk about religion or politics."

It's hard for many, myself included, to just break out a political discussion with people. Especially when it includes Ron Paul, which likely involves a minor lesson in the history of the Fed, the IRS/income tax, the difference between non-interventionism and isolationism, the gold standard, libertarianism, true free market principles, etc. It's hard work!

Consider this quote: The bad is plentiful and easily found; it lies on the smooth, nearby road. But the road to excellence is long and steep, rough at first, and by the god's decree travelled only at the cost of sweat. - Hesiod (c. 700 B.C.E.)

Summed up: All good results require effort. The plain and the average is everywhere. We cannot give up.

I would think that the door to door canvasing would take care of getting his issues to people. I know you can't get every house but with over 300 boots on the ground in a small state he should have gotten more than 8%.

We need to send people to ronpaulreasons.com (this is official campain sight). Its pretty good and list all the issues on 1 page and has short clips of Dr. Paul speaking on the issue.
