Only 17.51% of RP supporters voted in Iowa. No wonder we were 5th. Learn from stats:

Who's even disagreeing with you?

We all say people should vote, and you tell us to go and vote some more.
Nothing personal, but I'm beginning to see that you guys are, basically useless.

Go vote for Obama.

It's easy, and it feels good.

I'm out of control, but I expected you youngsters to back up my hard earned.

All I've seen is a bunch of defeatist namby pamby brats.

My apoligies to the people I backed.

We're backing you up, man. You vote and we vote.

Who's your enemy here? I don't see any.

Hoy, I'm probably on a plaque somewhere.

I'm sure I could spend some personal time with you.

I somehow doubt you're as pretty as that girl earlier, Ozwest. :)

Ok, between the bitching, I think I got what's ailing you. We talk about numbers too much in the thread, I guess.

Well, they're asking, and I'm explaining.

I thought people needed to see, in as much precision as I could muster, that just waiting for the results wasn't working.

It's important to have specific targets, and to not just say we should do better.

if the supporters can be bothered to get out and vote for their candidate they don't deserve to win. period.

Look, it's 5:30 am in Oz-land, and I am pissed as a fart, and I will probably regret my over-exubirant statements, but I call a spade a spade.

I want to box some of your ears!

We're all a bit concerned. Can you all mellow out?

Im sorry I was so out of control, Oz... ;-)

If Ron Paul and 4 others were making fun of the "Crazy guy" advocating a Holy War, I'd go with the flow.

Do you know of other countries that scare the holy living shit out of you?

My gut feeling is the initial claim in this post is inaccurate. RP supporters know damn well the only thing that will count is their vote. I can't believe the number is that low. I would be astonished if the numbers were that low. Of all the candidates I would say RP has the most dedicated supporters and they would vote in large numbers. This defies logic, but it wouldn't be the first time. I don't want to discredit the claim but honestly I think it's way off. Just my opinion.

IOWA is over, learn what you can from it.

As all Ron Paul supporters do, we have a good insight to the voting process.

It sucks, and is un-trustworthy.

Tell me different.

THis is VERY sad! What is wrong with these people? Do they just have no hope or what? In order to change things, you MUST VOTE!

While you guys are kicking each other around looking for someone to blame for Iowa, you might want to think about how ironic it is that the polling numbers we all know are 100% BS ended up being nearly the EXACT results of the vote.

From a voting system used by dictators to fix elections.

In a state where all evidence of actual votes is destroyed.

Have they finished counting the vote yet? I don't think so.

In between pounding your heads on your desks in rage at each other you might want to consider that the establishment likes its current position enough to do unfair things occasionally.

Alienating 'lazy youngsters' or 'you punks that didn't vote' isn't going to help anything. Look ahead, not behind. This energy could be better spent finding ways to get the ron paul message out to people and brain storming ways to ensure a FAIR voting process.

bump for truth:

If these numers are off, they are higher than reality. If we were polling any higher than 6% prior to Iowa, then less than 17% showed up. If we were polling 10%, only 10% of Ron Paul's supporters showed up. The 17% is probably best case scenario.

If this is repeated tomorrow in NH, where turnout is much higher, we'll be lucky not to finish dead last.

Oddly enough this result holds true with the general trend of younger voters. They are quick to march in the streets, attend protests, and in today's generation since up on MySpace & post YouTube videos. But when it comes to actually getting up and voting they don't do it.

Bunch of f'n collectivists. They only do things if they can do them in a group. Voting's a more individual activity, so it's not as interesting to them.

What is it with you guys continuosly pumping numbers?

Would you go head-butt somebody or something?

What next, cucumber sandwiches?
I have no idea what this post means, but it's pretty funny. +1

The IOWA CAUCAS system limits the number of voters. Everyone who wanted to participate but had to work could not vote. Ron Paul needs to place in the top 3 in New Hampshire. A top 2 finish would be great

A Ron Paul supporter not showing up to vote is a CRIME THAT IS UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!!!

Well, turnout historically in NH is around 50%. We probably need a HUGE turnout to get third place. We need an above average turnout for fourth.
