Online RPG's?

I'm pretty addicted to playing The Battle for Wesnoth. It reminds me a little of old school Shining Force. The kicker is that its totally free to download and play.

Download Wesnoth 1.10.6

This looks promising...

Dragons Prophet is in open beta right now, the dragon catching/training system is pretty cool.

What's a good multi-player game guys? Doesn't necessarily have to be a RPG, I like playing war strategy games with friends.

I've been playing Rome 2 total war and Europa Universalis 4. Both just came out and are very good strategy games.

As for an MMO I've also been playing Star Wars the Old Republic, its free to play now which means all you have to do is buy the game. I like it because its Star Wars and it has a story to go along with your game play. If you've ever played any of the Old Republic games you should definitely check this one out.

Anything from the 'Total War' series. I like playing Crusader Kings 2. It's pretty intensive on the micro-management but the game has depth. It's not a pretty flashy action type of game. It's about building a dynasty over a set period of time and once your character dies you play as the heir and so on until the game length of 300 years or so is up.

This entire thread is so over my head... what happened to Galaga?

Lol,, different kind of game.

I never got into any,, till the evil stepchild got me started on WoW.

There is a limited starter edition that is free. It is limited and level cap at 20. but it's free.
I play on the free account when I am out of Game time

Planetside 2 - huge first-person shooter MMORPG with battles that consist of huge bases and territories on three continents with three opposing factions with different weapon and vehicle options.. massive battles with dozens of bombers in the sky, tanks and and ground vehicles and hundreds of ground troops constantly fighting for territory.. you can capture and take over bases for your faction.. its so good.

I have played and enjoyed offline skyrim but Bethsida have come out with an online version of skyrim which I heard is even better. For me, I promised to stay away from any online games because I am easily susceptible to being addicted to it

I am gonna have to go with Eve. You can start FTP, and then it becomes a subscription based model ($14 am month) BUT, you can buy game time with the ISK(game currency) you earn in game. I won't go into why I like the game, just take a look at this.

Have you played the Game of Thrones mod for Crusader Kings 2? It looks rather amazing.

Everquest 2 is free to play now. You can also play the original Everquest for free on the EQEmulator servers.

I'm not an RPG gamer - I'll stick with my lame match 3 games
right now I've been stuck on level 148 of deep voyage for days!

second life - like other 3D virtual worlds (Nuvera, IMVU) are more akin to chat programs with user defined avatars and world areas
I was a beta tester and am an awol content creator at nuvera - defiantly not a MMORPG
