This is the main problem with these one world ideas. If it is your idea, 95% of the world wont agree now, later, by force, by bribes, by death, no matter what they will not agree.

YOu will be fighting forever in some part of the world and this by its nature will be inefficient.

We know that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The idea of having several nations around the world provides you the ability to vote with your feet and move to another nation. This keeps the power more to the people. A worldwide government would take that power completely away from the people.

The more centralized government is, the more corrupt it becomes and the less power people have over what it does. The more decentralized our government is, the more power the individual has to influence it and shape it the way they want it to be.

A worldwide centralized government would tend toward absolute communism, while localized governments tends for absolute free market. When you leave the power in the hands of an elite few, don't expect them to do you any favors.

Despite the fact that we have very little of the Free Market left, we still have the most of any other country; the rest of the world thinks "Democratic-Socialism" is the way to go.

not only that, but it wouldn't take long, even if the One World Government was a duplicate of our current government structure (with the countries as they are now the "States") it wouldn't take long for it to morph into a tyrannical one world government.

there are some aspects about minor amounts of isolationism that are good....Ron has just enough isolationism in his policies that would make us safe...but we'd be open enough to trade with everyone.
