The average American is too busy trying to pay their rising bills and taxes and do not have the time to study the candidates in depth. They rely on popular majority and trust others to do the homework for them. This is facilitated by the corporate run medias (i.e. by those who have the wealth and material power) and by their pathologic fear of losing it.
