Not of the delgates are truly "declared"....they don't do that. They just took straw polls. In y district, there are 4 delegates. 2 were for Romney, 2 for Paul.

We will have straw poll results in Tulsa county some time tomorrow.

We wont find out the results until the various county conventions and finally the State and District conventions.

These are precint delegates. They will go to the county and state delegate convention to vote for the National GOP delegates.

From what i see, I think we'll have the majority to vote for RP delegates at teh state convention in April.

Sorry, I can only report for my precinct...and 4 out of 5 of us are Ron Paul supporters. But, we all get to vote for our county and state delegates and ultimately our national convention delegates...which will be Ron Paul Supporters!

Guys, you are thinking about this all wrong... there will be no final number from the precinct meetings tonight. The numbers you are seeing are just from individual precincts who decided to do an informal straw poll. In my location, there were about ~20 precincts meeting. We did not conduct a straw poll. All we did was decide on delegates to the county convention, and other GOP business, like resolutions to be considered at the county level.


Please guys, Oklahoma is a Super Tuesday state... you'll see how the masses voted then. Until then, know that Ron Paul Okies have taken their rightful places in the GOP party structure and will continue to work from there!

All Tulsa County Precincts were required to hold a straw poll as per the Tulsa County GOP precinct directives.

I think this straw poll will give a very good indication as to what kind of turn out we will see at the various conventions. You are correct in that we have to wait until super tuesday to see how our state turns out. However, in terms of delegates, i am very happy with today's results and we just took a great leap forward in getting some great delegates nominated.
 
Good luck and take every precaution. Plan for one of those Pro-FamilyProLife type deals like Louisiana. :)

lol that "crazy thing" called the brokered convention. Those Hucksters are loopy. Fun to hear them worrying about us though.
 
My precinct meeting represented 80 precincts ...

Conservatively, Ron Paul supporters made up 80% of those attending!!!

Huck's Army is right - we are organized, and we are going to stack the county and state conventions. To say that tonight's showing was overwhelming is an understatement - we dominated these early meetings, and will continue to do so!!!!

Don't sweat Florida - the game's not even half over!

Are the delegates legally bound to vote for the primary winner? Is the legal obligation only for the first round of the national convention? What are the legal penalties if a delegate votes differently from the primary results? (Not that a Ron Paul delegate would ever do such a thing, but some other candidate's delegates might try it.)

My understanding of it is yes, the national delegates are bound to vote for the primary winner in the state of OK...but they are not bound if the convention becomes brokered.

Interestingly, The GOP Officials at the meeting asked us to start referring to it as an "Open" or "Disputed" Convention.
