Ok, Ron Paul is history. But surely we can all help Bob Barr.

We cannot, after all the trouble, all the sign waiving, all the money donating, all the effort, just allow 2008 to be yet another election cycle with a Libertarian getting a measly 0.5% of the overall vote.

No one here likes McCain
No one here likes Obama
Then surely we can all get behind Bob Barr. He is a third, but really the second choice we have. What do we have to do to make him a serious player in this race?

I am campaigning for Bob Barr... I started a local meet up. Everyone should start a meet up..I'm getting some action on it also. TONES

Not in a freaking million years.
Just accept it and move on.
I will be voting for Chuck Baldwin in the general.

Bob Barr is going to put a serious dent in the two party system this election. He's polling nationally at 7% and he needs 15% to get in the debates..the LP says they are confident he will get 15%. TONES

And for those who do not wish to support Bob Barr, theonstituton Party candidate is Chuck Baldwin. So far he is on the ballot in foty states.

Try to research both of them. I am doing that now.

Write-in votes seriously are not counted unless they are a write-in candidate. Please do not literally throw away your vote - although I would understand the reason. I do understand your feelings on the matter, but to fully show how upset we are with the (R)'s, I think you have to vote for someone who will actually show-up in the vote totals.

I'm not sure if I'll go for Barr or Baldwin in this election....probably Barr because I think he can make the biggest impact. Having said that, I'm with RP to the end.

I think the grassroots needs to sit and really think which candidate to support in November. Should we allow ourselves to split up over 3 or 4 different options/candidates? Or should we try to support 1? These things should be discussed.

Congratulations. Half of us will vote Barr, and other half - Baldwin.

Result? We get Obama.

This is great. Now we are back to square one with everyone voting for their own little guy and the total effect is spread in every direction and affecting absolutely nothing.
