I supposedly "voted for Obama" by writing in Ron Paul.
I agree with the OP, however, that a McCain (or possibly Palin) presidency is utterly repulsive. If I HAD to choose strictly between the two candidates, I'd have to go with Obama.
- I disagree with Obama's policies, but I at least believe he believes in them -- I just think McCain's and Palin's "views" are shaped by lust for the office.
- McCain (and Palin) is an unabashed imperialist and demagogue. Obama at least professes to focus militarily on Al Qaeda as opposed to a tactic (terrorism in general).
I'm finding myself compelled to go on, but it would just make me look like I'm defending a candidate I don't support. The point is, I think McCain is unstable, totally devoid of character, and a thousand other things that force me away.
Another Ron Paul supporter that "Gets it in 2008" this will be the dividing line for Ron Paul supporters today. And I will praise every post/voter that shows that the poster "Get's it".
