OHIO needs attention or Ron Paul won't be on the ballot!

On that zip code voter finder. If they don't have a D or R next to there name, is it ok to get their signature. There are people without either that consider themselves to be part of a party but it does not show them to be part of a party on the list. I am scared to have them sign, fearing this could lead to bad signatures. Does anyone know?

Only registered republicans in the state of Ohio or people not affiliated with a party (independent) can circulate and/or sign a petition. Someone with a party affiliation of Democrat is neither allowed to sign a petition nor circulate it. You do not need to live in that particular county or district to circulate that petition, you just need to be registered to vote in Ohio and not be a Democrat. The deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation is at least 1 month prior to March 7th. Since our deadline to meet these signatures is less than a week away, we must not assume and must not take risks, so do not circulate if you are not a registered Republican/non-democrat and ask and verify your volunteers' party affiliation.

people without a party can sign, the only ones who cannot sign are those with D. This is what we have been advised and is what we have been doing.

Ok so if they don't have a D, then I will get them to sign. (even if they think they are a democrat). Thank you.

This is not a signature to support the candidate, just to get him on the ballot.

They can still vote any way they want in the Primary and General Election.

Worst comes to worst, that one signature is disqualified (I'm pretty sure it's just that one, not the whole petition). You might as well get them to sign; there's no real downside.

Thanks, Frank. I'm related to half of CD 1 and am here now (but no longer an Ohio resident so I can't circulate). <very frustrated>

Whoever removed my parents and sister from the delegate list has some 'splaining to do if they aren't going to do the work!

These are just for signatures to approve the delegates. We have the delegates.

How many signitures do we still need?

here a quote from one of the meetup organizers from Ohio:

"I am one of the people in Ohio that has this kicked up into high gear. [...] We have paid canvassers working this state along with several hundred volunteeres. We will get this job done. Ron Paul will be on the ballot in Ohio.

When you send a message, give support. There are many of us who are working 18 hours a day right now to get this finished. Our Christmas is in two days and there are many of us who will work right through Christmas."

Current status:
They still do need a lot of signatures all over Ohio. They are convinced they will get the job done and I do believe they will indeed. I also have brought in another meetup group that didnt know about this challenge yet. They will help out aswell.

Now when you read this, please don't think it will all work out just like that. It needs hard work. And everyone here can help out. I'm from overseas and if I was able to do my little part on this, you as american citizens, or maybe even as a citizen of Ohio are able to do a lot more. Then also do it. Don't just talk or type about it.

ACT NOW!
If you don't know what to do then read the following website. http://www.ohio4ronpaul.com/

And if you still don't know then just give the guy a call.
