Oh no she didn't! Bachmann co-opts Misesian Economics

She's been going to Ron's 'lunches' for years and had some good comments at some Fed hearings while HR 1207 was being considered. It was where I first heard of her. But she doesn't seem to fully understand it. If she did, she would be a lot less supportive of all these wars.

I'm not interested in what she says. I'm looking at what she has done and is doing.

Rule #1 - Politicians lie, especially when running for President.

(Ron Paul is exempt from these rules)

Cherry-Picking Economics

How can one be an Art Laffer fiend and at the same time love von Mises?

Some people pick and choose what they like from different sources. It seems like she just doesn't agree with some of Mises' views, while preferring Laffer better, overall.

I think our best bet is to of course highlight her voting record, but stay on the high road where she is concerned. We do not want to alienate people who are looking into both Paul AND Bachmann.

I'm pretty fond of the fact that a popular member of Congress/presidential candidate is reading Mises.

It's a testament to Ron and all that he has accomplished.

+1

Maybe someone should give her some Bob Higgs books and say, "If you like Mises, you'll love this guy."

Bachman is a friend of both RP and Judge Nap. I honestly think she would be the ideal VP to run with Paul.

Bachmann = Glenn Beck

Shes sides with the establishment at the end of the day.

More proof that we are living in the age of Ron Paul. This is a good thing people. Bachmann is FAR from perfect and te establishment's anti-establishment candidate but the truth is she felt she needed to drop Von Mises name in order to gain conservative street cred. This tickles me pink

Part of me doesn't like this cause I'm not really a bachmann fan. But I can't help but love that Mises' name is being thrown around :)
