OH MY GODDDDDD!!!!!!! I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I went with another couple to play bingo just for the fun of it a few months ago (we're in our thirties) and our presence (we were there to just have fun) was not welcome. They take their bingo VERY seriously. Not sure if they would like the disruption. It's a good thought though.

Really? Did they just not like the competition? I've been thinking about going because it sounds kind of fun. Older ladies seem to like me because I pepper them with questions about stuff they seem to enjoy talking about and they're genuine questions. I love talking to older people about canning types of foods, baking tips and since I'm thinking of learning to sew my daughter's dresses I have sewing questions on my mind. Perhaps some talking before the games begin would break the ice a bit? Or is that a bad idea? Now I'm scared to go to bingo. I don't want my presence to offend them and ruin their evening.

"A CNN/ORC International Poll released Monday indicates Paul has also drawn even with Obama in another possible November showdown.
Paul bests Obama 49 to 45 percent among persons 65 and older who reliably turn out to vote.

Paul also beats Obama among persons 50 to 64 by a 47-45 percent margin.

Voters over 50 would deliver Paul victory over Obama, 48 to 45 percent."

OK so im sure we all agree that the people over 50 rely strictly on the msm to get all of their information, im sure we all agree on that!!!! so the question is, how do we reach these people???? THE ANSWER IS... you may not like it, but we should actually campaign at BINGO HALLS! <truncated>

I agree it wouldn't hurt to hand out brochures or stick them under wipers of cars parked at bingo, but - and let me insert here than I have not and will not read all 105 prior replies before saying this - I am almost 59 and since 1980 have probably watched fewer hours of MSM news on TV than years I have been alive. And let me add that I might have been in a bingo hall once - if I ever went at all, I don't remember it - but I am absolutely certain than it wasn't more than once.

Hey, I take exception to that. I'm over 50 and use the internet because it's more honest.

hee hee...I'm 56, and still think like someone your age. Where did the time go?

I have a hard time getting past 30 something. When I was a kid 54 was ancient, bald, fat, several heart attacks. I still have all my hair with no gray and wear the same size pants and jacket as when I was 21, 115/80 blood pressure but I do need reading glasses and some teeth work.

I don't know how to find them, but the easiest way to win them over would be to point out the inflation in food prices, how that devalues Social Security, and how Ron Paul would stop the inflation so Social Security payments wouldn't lose their value, in fact they'd be stronger.

I'm over 50, and maybe it's just the people I know, but we're not ready to succumb to the Bingo halls just yet. Perhaps you meant folks over 70?

Thanks...we aren't either...a glass of wine and surfing the 'net is more my entertainment speed...when the weather is too cold to go biking.

I know quite a few younger people with young families who go though...inexpensive night out.
