OH MY GODDDDDD!!!!!!! I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a grandparent in a nursing home, take advantage of the opportunity to hand out literature.

I will be 60 this summer. In 2008, I donated the max allowable by law to Ron Paul's campaign, as did many other friends of mine who are my age. I have supported Ron Paul for years. I am sick and tired of the generalizations, characterizations, and outright prejudice against "older" people that I read on this forum. For the information of the OP, I started with computers when there was only DOS and Edlin. Grow up.

I hear ya brother. I started using computers in 1972 when we had to use paper tape to store the programs. I also know how to run a key punch machine. Learned that later when they finally started using those stacks of cards to hold the programs.

The biggest mistake the op made is assuming all people over 50 aren't Ron Paul supporters. I'm living proof there are Ron Paul supporters who are older than 50.

Another thing. Many youngsters these days think working against the establishment is something new. If they could only go back to the mid 60s and see how hard the younger generation was working to change the status quo, they wouldn't be thinking what is happening today is something new.

Edit: And if you really want to take the message to older people, go to the McDonald's restaurants.

I have never seen so many exclamation points and CAPITAL LETTERS coupled with the idea of going to Bingo Halls.

i did not intend to make you feel old or insult you, im sure there are many exceptions to being over 60 and being able to use a computer, i am grown up, im 36 years old with two kids and i want them to have a bright future and all of the freedoms i enjoyed while growing up, whether you like it or not, there are many many 60+ that love going to bingo and we need to target your generation! so since you will be 60 this summer, do you have any suggestions as to how we can reach your generation? like i said im just trying to think outside of the box. if i hurt your feelings i sincerly apologize.

I don't think patronizing older people is the way to go to get their votes. Get over yourself and grow up. This is coming from an ancient 35 year old.

Dlynne and Dr.3D: I agree with you both, but decided to soften my opinion about the OP. Who among us hasn't had a certain amount of prejudice against and misconceptions about those so much older than ourselves when we're young? I know I did. I hope that this will put an end to the idea that us 50-60 year olds are just sitting around, bobbing our heads at everything FoxNews says, however...some of us have been Ron Paul supporters (and Internet users) for a very long time!

I can't believe the OP thought of bingo halls and left out the golfcart races and wheelchair polo. Kids just don't have a clue about their elders these days.

OK so im sure we all agree that the people over 50 rely strictly on the msm to get all of their information, im sure we all agree on that!!!! so the question is, how do we reach these people???? THE ANSWER IS... you may not like it, but we should actually campaign at BINGO HALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been to bingo night a few times in my life, and the overwhelming majority at these bingo halls are people over 50!!!!!!!!!!!!! can we have a national campaining spotlight on BINGO HALLS across america?????????? if you know a better way to get the message out to people over 50, im all ears!!!! is this a good dea? bad idea??? there is no doubt in my mind that we can spread the message at bingo halls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No chit, I'll be 60 in July, and I'm rockin with the group. Don't throw me into the bingo hall yet.. I still have campaigning to do.

LMAO.... I'm on World of Warcraft 11 hours per day.... come duel me OP !!

I couldn't read all the way through the OP. Tried really hard to focus my mind, just couldn't do it. The title, itself, almost did me in.

Sorry.

Bingo really isn't a bad idea though, as long as you go about it civilly and respect the people who are there.
