"They" were complaining about all the other issues all along. Like most of us, you probably didn't pay attention to any of it until you heard the cat-eating claims. Maybe you're just one of those people who can't pass up an opportunity to label others racist? My post says the opposite of that.

They

they.
Yes, whatever it is, it probably just sauntered over there and dropped dead of natural causes, whereafter this (alleged) Haitian happened by with his machete and decided to take advantage of the situation. What is the problem here?

If the person who took that video were concerned enough to film the butchering, you’d think they’d be concerned enough to confront the guy or call authorities - not just post a blurry video on X for people to speculate over.Perhaps a spy camera on every street corner or home is needed, from what I could see it could be a chicken for all I know.
There used to a time when "Republicans" were all about "it's my property mind your own f&cking business". Now we have folks on the RPF wanting to know if cops were called.
Yes, if it was not their property. That would mean it belonged to someone else and they stole it. We don't know the circumstances here, but someone likely does and won't say. What are you suggesting, that if they killed this animal themselves, that would be a problem?

Haitians do eat cats. I know from personal experience from my years living in the country and in the Haitian community. That's not a bad thing. All culture [sic] eat unique things, and what Americans eat every day us [sic] FAR more disgusting. The "do they or don't they" is a complete distraction. The real issue is the problems Haiti is facing every day and no one seems to care. – Redditor
First Mittens. Then Luna. And then Shadow, Tiger, and Simba. The circumstances surrounding the disappearances of beloved pet cats throughout the greater Springfield, Ohio area were murky at best. No socially acceptable explanation existed, and so the great cataclysm continued.
It wasn’t long until the mice took notice of their newly catless surroundings. They started small: pilfering beans and granola bars from pantries during daylight hours, and leaving doots in homeowners’ butter dishes.
But once mice realized they were really and truly free from feline oppression, their boldness grew exponentially. They began breaking into parked vehicles, robbing banks, and sticking chewed gum to the undersides of park benches.
Ohioans didn’t take action until it was too late. Seemingly overnight, they found themselves living in hopeless, cheeseless neighborhoods. They prayed to God each night that they would one day hear meowing again. But the meowing … never came.
Don’t let this happen to your community! Order your official Ben Garrison “Dont Eat On Me” merchandise (spelled without an apostrophe, just like the Gadsden flag’s immortal message), and spread your support for cats’ continued existence!
The Four Evils campaign (Chinese: 除四害; pinyin: Chú Sì Hài) was one of the first campaigns of the Great Leap Forward in Maoist China from 1958 to 1962. Authorities targeted four "pests" for elimination: rats, flies, mosquitoes, and sparrows. The extermination of sparrows – also known as the smash sparrows campaign[SUP][1][/SUP] (Chinese: 打麻雀运动; pinyin: dǎ máquè yùndòng) or the eliminate sparrows campaign (Chinese: 消灭麻雀运动; pinyin: xiāomiè máquè yùndòng) – resulted in severe ecological imbalance, and was one of the causes of the Great Chinese Famine which lasted from 1959 to 1961, killing 20 to 30 million people. In 1960, the campaign against sparrows ended, and bed bugs became an official target.

LOL - Only a communist could be so half witted as to think flies could be eliminated by a committee edict.
The white pill summarized in a single meme:

I don't know what those animals are. Looked like some kind of large rodent that could have been any of a few different things I suppose. But whatever they are, they looked delicious.
If I had to stab a guess, guinea pigs, as those guys look Peruvian or Chilean, where they are still a common food source in those areas.
Close cousins to nutria rats and beavers.
