OFFICIAL Virginia Gubernatorial Election RESULTS THREAD

A lot of Dems, especially younger Dems, like the social side. They see republicans as outdated socially (RE abortion, drugs) and mean (not wanting healthcare, wellfare). They don't actually think it through; they just want to be nice. The libertarian is an alternative on some of those issues.

'Nice' is having 200 trillion in unfunded liabilities and mass rioting in the streets when the plug is pulled. They are going to see where 'Nice' gets them. I'm not worried about politics. Politics is a manmade creation of control. The planet is going to sort things out for the better in the end.

Oddly enough Fox is the only one who has called it so far. Just checked CNN and NBC and they still have it as too close to call

HUFFPO has 88% reporting, Cuccinelli up by about 3K votes, and only Charles City, New Kent, and Craig counties not reporting

Let's look on the bright side. We're 1 step closer to "the collapse" and thus the real (and hopefully enlightened) recovery. Trying to find a silver lining in this...

I still can't get over RPF members supporting a Libertarian that wants to mandate GPS mileage tracking.

Some RPF members can't see the forest through the trees and focus on wedge issues. Sarvis was pro-drug, pro-gay, pro-abortion - that's a winning combination for the left libertarian mindset.

Why on earth would Democrats -- who support Big, Progressive Government -- want to vote for a "Libertarian" who wants to dismantle government? The logic just falls apart.

It's not necessarily Democrats who are voting for him, but moderate to liberal Republicans who would vote for McAullife over Cuccinelli if Sarvis wasn't in the race.

A mass dying of the retards as well. That's the only thing that keeps me going. :)

I welcome the collapse only if there is someone strong on Civil Liberties (like Rand) in office when it happens.

Again, these are people who have not thought things through to the inevitable outcome.

Charles City went went 65.5% to Obama. 2700 v 1400 votes
New Kent went 66% to Romney. 7200 v 3500 votes
Craig County went 66% to Romney. 1300 v 800 votes

None big enough to change the outcome and definitely not enough for Cuccinelli to overcome the Fairfax County deficit.

The only reason Sarvis is getting any attention is because he kept getting mentioned as the spoiler. The more his name got out there the more people wanted to spoil, is my guess.

I think this really shows that more states adopting the Nebraska/Maine system of delegating Electoral Votes will be the only way for a GOP nominee to win the Presidency. Lots of red on the map, yet the major cities are dragging everything and everyone with them.
