Official New Ron Paul Ad: Etch A Sketch

So now you're the GRC Crossing Guard and the Campaign PR/Ad Professional? Man of many hats.

I get the ad. While the others are talking toy meme's, only ONE has an actual plan to deal with the crisis at hand. I'd say the Campaign acted pretty fast to put an ad together!! Nice!

Yes. I have made political ads, real ones, before...I also have worked on campaigns...this ad will move nobody to Paul. I know a crap ad when I see one.

No it isn't. It is Romney's campaign guy in the beginning saying Romney can turn on a dime. In fact I would have added flips by THE OTHERS to show it applies to them, too.
I agree that Romney voters aren't bothered much by 'flexibility'.

It isn't that they "aren't bothered"; but rather that they LIKE IT. The romney campaign guy didn't say that by accident they know that the GOP base thinks of it as an advantage to the team, it is a selling point.

I suspect that very few voters will get this ad, and that those who do will be unmoved by it. I hope that I am wrong.

Great idea, but........................ Santorum and Gingrich are shown delivering the message.
I think you missed the message then. Here's a writeup from Huffington Post to help:

The main focus of the ad, which barely mentions Romney, is Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich, who are both shown holding Etch A Sketches at campaign events. It then suggests that Ron Paul is focused on important issues, such as the economy and ending the wars.

Which no one knows about because the media doesn't cover real news and solutions.

yes about it ... we really need to hit it home that there is no real 3rd estate anymore ~ just a lie manipulation machine owned by the money / war machine ... just another racket of the bankster racketeers

This was a very cheap and easy ad to produce for what they got out if it.

I like the ad, it's simple and to the point. It goes after the media as much as the other candidates. It makes the point the Ron Paul is the only one serious about saving our country.

It will resonate with a lot of people.

Every ad doesn't have to be an 'attack' ad.

What I like is it's TIMELY. While Paul gets marginalized by the Media, his video ads generally receive coverage and pundit talking points. This ad creates Ron Paul's rebuttal to the whole etch-a-sketch meme without him even saying a word.

LIKE A BOSS!

Let's hops the Media spreads and discusses this ad. :)

yes agreed ... it is most timely in a media etch-a-sketch event

New Ron Paul ad: Enough with the Etch-a-Sketch nonsense

I see Dondoooooroooooooo has raised his scaled and ugly head in the comment section......

Really a terrible ad. It fails to communicate any coherent message and has nothing at all to do with Ron Paul except his name appearing at the end.

Thanks for deleting my post. It doesn't change the fact that this is an ad defending Romney's inconsistency and attacking the other candidates for bringing it up.

Too bad Romney doesn't have a Ron Paul supporter making his ads.

^^^truth. I've never been a believer in the Ron Paul-Romney alliance, but this ad is just too over the top and has me rethinking it.

It is NOT defending Romney's inconsistency. It says he AND the others are talking about trivial matters and the actual issues aren't getting the coverage they should. I wish it had clips showing each of them in an etch a sketch moment, but that would be a lot more expensive and the campaign needs more money.

people are buying up Etch-A-Sketches so much that the price went from 5 bucks to almost $10.oo~!!!
