***official Nat'l Treasure 2 Ad Thread!!!!!!

I'll see if I can research some tele #'s for corporate offices, be easier to find pricing nationally and by region this way. I'll see if I can call around some local theatres too and find out what I can about advertising policies.

Hmm... I should be looking for theatres in major metroplitan areas in early primary states yeah? And / or all?

Are you *sure* you're buying ad time for a video, not a picture ad flashed up on the screen for 15 or 30 seconds? Cause when the local real estate agents advertise that way its really cheesy. Just want to be SURE we're getting cool video time. I'm less impressed with a still photo type ad.

Even if its a still ad it should be 720 (24fpsx30sec) frames of the same image. The projector doesn't stop for them. I don't see why it would cost more if you had a production that animated the same 720 frames.

I think that the proposed video is fast-paced and edgy enough to not annoy the escapism folks. This is one of the greatest ideas proposed and I really hope it takes off. I will donate!

For just a single photo it cost $20 per week per screen

YES IT IS REALLY THAT CHEAP!!!!!!

But I am still waiting on the price of the movie ad

I don't know about the details, but I think you need a PAC, especially if you are taking donations.

Of course you could pull off what Trevor did with the blimp, but I'm not the guy to ask about that, sorry :(

Make sure you know the whole situation so you don't get into legal trouble.

If we can get this ad up in movie theaters, I will definitely go to see the ad. ;)

Yeah it depends on the number of screens and the commitment. The 12 week commitment is kind of a damper. I would say 6-8 would be ideal

This is the idea yet! I'll donate.
BTW we to turn our attention towards the FEC after RP is president. In fact there are allot of things that this army of activist should do to support him once in office.

What's up with this idea? Sounds fantastic -- one of the best yet, but we gotta get crackin'.

I emailed that Doug guy for the billboard company and sent him the links to the tea party and blimp sites to give credibility to the cause. I'm just suspicious about a "billboard" company for movie previews?

No one has contributed a dime to this idea so far. I'm not sure the FEC limitations apply other than maybe the value of Adrians time in producing this. Does anyone know a reason this could not be picked up by the campaign other than they might not think the ad was a good fit?

Any update?

Is this something the grassroots can tackle?

Has anyone with a contact in the campaign pitched this idea to them?

The guy said he will get back to me with all the logistics by the end of the week so my hands are essentially tied at this point

The only other thing I am trying to figure out is how to legally make this work.

I'm thinking if the limit a PAC can contribute to 1 candidate per election cycle is $5000 we may need to get a bunch of PACs involved to help out throughout the country
