His answers were great...but he didnt shine, because he didnt go on the offensive, and wasnt aggressive with his answers...I dont see a bounce at all from this debate...

We are being attacked for repeating what Dr. Paul has said. I am very happy with the debate, I think Dr. Paul won this debate, because he has managed to bring a small group of people (us) back into a major party. Would we rather lose the nomination, cost the GOP the election, and deliver our nation into the hands of Marxists... or would we rather change the GOP platform to a more pro-Constitution one?

Dr. Paul has said it over and over, and now he has put it in stone, he is not running 3rd Party.. .he is a Republican, and he aims to change the Republican party. I don't get why everyone acts like that is a "bad" thing or that we are not RP supporters because we listen to Dr. Paul.

It is SO frustrating being attacked for being in Dr. Paul's party... if you don't like Republicans WHY THE HECK ARE YOU BACKING Ron PAUL?

Sorry for my lack of common sense but I will vote for Ron Paul under any circumstances. Would you vote for Ron Paul if he were running third party? or would "common sense" send your vote in another direction?

Because he doesn't act like any Republican I know. You are right that I do not like Republicans....or Democrats for that matter. I'm an independent spending money, campaigning for, and bringing the message of Ron Paul to everyone in my circle and every one I meet.

If you are for Ron Paul you are on the same side of the fence. I am not attacking you but there is nothing "set in stone". Move the GOP to be more pro-constitutional? I don't see it.

I'm truly sorry if this offends you but I am backing Ron Paul....not the Republican Party.

I'm not a Republican Party supporter. I'm a county chairman for the Libertarian Party. I recognize that Ron Paul is not a libertarian but he is the only person in the RP making libertarian sense. I back Ron Paul for the R party nomination but, because of my responsibility to the LP, will not be voting for him in the TX primary. I have gone on national TV to support Ron, donated the max amount to his campaign, blogged incessantly about how great he is, and allowed my image to be used in the calendar to support his campaign. In short, f the Republican Party, but long live Ron Paul and the idea of liberty.

If there are TX LP members here, I want to encourage them to think about how involved they wish to be in our convention process. If you don't go to meetings or wish to vote during our nomination process, please vote Ron Paul in the primary. If you want to be part of the LP convention process, do not vote in the primary, but throw every bit of support you can Ron Paul's way. Try to save some support for the LP though. In the end the goal is liberty and it really doesn't matter what letter the candidate has after his name.

Why? Because Ron Paul represents what the Republican Party used to be. The party is not embracing him and lip service rhetoric by fake Conservatives doesn't mean that RP is changing anything. Ill believe it when I see the record to prove it. Until then, as I see the party mock and attempt to marginalize what could be their savior, I personally won't be happy...

I don't think RP should announce yet an intention to run third party, but I do believe that that time will come because I do not see the party all of a sudden changing course and accepting paul.

If the party continues to fight paul and he does not choose to go third party (if he does not get the nomination, or a position offer in another candidates ), first I think he would be doing a disservice to his loyal supporters, and second, I would then decide what id rather do...write pauls name in, or vote for a "marxist' as a protest to the fading rethuglican party. Probably the latter...at my own peril...that's just how disgusted I've become.

Hear here! If it must be done, t'is best t'were done quickly.

If Ron Paul is not elected President, then our nation will go down in flames. it's only a matter of how quickly. I, too, would be divided whether i should write his name in, or vote for the worst possible candidate to make the US crash as quickly as possible (so that we can get about the business of recovery)

You seem to have your priorities backwards. In your mind, do you place your country first, or your political party?

As far as I am concerned, I have been a Republican the vast majority of my life, but I chose that because the Republican party used to stand for something. Today, that "something" has changed. It is no longer the party of limited government, states rights, fiscal responsibility and individual liberty. It has been overtaken by the very same type of big government socialists that exist on the other side of the aisle. They only differ in what they want to use big government force to cram down the throats of the American public.

Now, for your question. I support Ron Paul and have for over twenty years, because he IS the only candidate who espouses and has a voting record to prove that he will reinstate our Constitution and individual liberty, in our country. He just so happens to be a Republican. I would vote for him though, regardless of the party he was in.

I am a Goldwater-Conservative and I personally vote for the best candidate, regardless of something so nonsensical as a political party.

And you are apparently incapable of basic reading comprehension. Do you not understand that if the process of crashing and burning is drawn out, it will become much worse and last much longer? Do you not comprehend that if *anybody* else running from either party gets elected, it spells destruction for our nation, simply a question of when?

I love my country. I joined the US Marines because I loved my country and was (and still am!) willing to lay down my life to defend her to this very day. But if my country is going to crash and burn anyway, then it is best to be done quickly and get over with so we can begin the process of recovery.

Is that really that hard to comprehend, or are you simply looking for excuses to hate people and posture yourself as 'superior' to the people you do not understand?
