Official MSNBC Boca Raton, Florida G.O.P. Debate Discussion Thread [9:00PM ET]

I'm going to bed. Should have gone to bed at 9:00 like a normally do. That debate was a complete waste of time.

One day, America will again re-learn the lost art of critical thinking. So long as people have their bread and circuses, they will behave like pigs and sheep being led to the slaughter. The time is coming, very shortly I'm afraid, when the "amusement society" we live in will have a very rude awakening.

Paul was getting his arse handed to him the whole debate, and then out of no where he knocks the last question out the park!

It appealed to the crowd; to the other candidates… it is super clear now that Dr. Paul’s goal is to re-energize the GOP.

He knows he will not be our next President, and he has put an end to the fear of a 3rd Party run! He reached out the GOP base and I think he has succeeded. For me the REVOLUTION just had its first Major victory.

He knows he will not be our next President....as a Republican.

The only victory will be with a third party run. He should have said..."They have a good reason to be afraid. They should be very afraid."

But the time is not right.....yet.

there are restrictions!! (not)

yes give everyone a gun!!!!

exactly!!! duh

I for one, don't own a gun. At the end of the day tomorrow I will own a handgun for home protection. I will then own at least four more in the next 5 weeks. I plan to get the following ...

handgun..if youre right up on me.

shot gun if your near me.

Rifle if your in my area.

A good sniper rifle if your anywhere near me.

and you know the next one.

We are absolutely fucked.

Maybe you guys can look at this a little differently. A lot of the questions for the other candidates let the viewers see how undesirable they are.

Dr. Paul's question to McCain, will intrigue the financial experts and when they start putting down McCain, people will notice.

Just a thought. Things have happened in this campaign that we thought would harm, and look where we're at now. Keep your chins up. Let's see what the write-ups will be tomorrow morning.

Psssssssssst... There will be no write ups about Ron Paul. Wake up.

Liked RP's last answer. Though no one laughed - perhaps they didn't get it -, it was cheeky of him to suggest that perhaps they SHOULD be worried about his maybe going 3rd party. "It might keep them on their toes." Cute!

What is wrong with you and Montez??????????? You are so wrong! 3rd party=waste of time and money.

Something is wrong with both of you...."he knows he wont be the next president" wtf.

I believe you two need to be posting somewhere else.

why didnt Paul call any of these guys out tonight?? Like, name them.. say how they are wrong or not conservative with an example.. then say how he does it the conservative way??

seriously wtf

Pahleeze! What are you saying? If we are both wrong then what does that leave?

As far as posting somewhere else I'm hoping that I am in good company to actually want an opportunity to vote for Ron in November.

Or is this forum only for people who would support Ron Paul as a Republican?

Dollar dropped another 1% - just today. Imagine if everyone woke up tomorrow and found that someone had stolen 1% of their piggy bank, or bank account, or stock portfolio - or dinged their car door. People would be enraged and standing out with their neighbors discussing the "great theft of 24 Jan" - and yet - it was quiet, nothing happened, there was no cocaine on that $20 bill...

CRAP! I'm going to bed. Thank you for hearing my vent.

Good point about the questions exposing the other candidates. Tough questions. I could have done without the Romney hour though. He did show his true colors as did the other 4 dead horses.

Paul.........the ninjaprophet:D

Terrible debate. Ron's question is going to get zero traction with 99% of the people watching. In fact, they'll probably think he's "weird" for bringing it up.

Ron received practically no opportunities to answer the substantial questions. He should have made more of his chance to discuss the wisdom of the Iraq war. I can't believe he didn't mention that he has voted against it in every form from the very beginning.

He's gotten good at answering that "will you run 3rd party" question though. No doubt because he has to answer it daily.

I'm afraid I must conclude Ron is not a great public speaker. He may be wise, intelligent, and honest, but when you put him on the spot, it doesn't always come out well. It's frustrating.

It pains me to agree... and I mean it REALLY pains me! I am with Ron on 100 percent of his ideas and ideals. I will be with him to the end and no one is more incensed at the attempts to marginalize his candidacy than I am. I am just saddened that he is not better at articulating his positions in debates or taking advantage of what little opportunity is afforded him.

you have to understand that anyone with a little common sense knows third party candidates have no chance.
