BIG QUESTION...

Why is Romney and Ron continueing with this truce if Romney just screwed Ron over in Maine? Doesn't make sense. Can't Romney let Ron have one win in their little truce?

Dude . . . don't go there. I'm a Mormon, I'm Christian, and no it is not a cult, and no I do not support Romney. I support RP, NOBP.

Yeah, we could rip apart Romney for his religion, and win. But we'd hurt your feelings. Oh, whatever shall we do.

Was it just me or did Ron sound really impassioned during his speech? I've not heard him that worked up in a while.

What do you suppose people to do about it? Republican party is a private club and Ron Paul understands it. The whole process is a huge victory for the Ron Paul campaign already when each and everyone of us here spreads Ron's messages and let others be aware of Ron Paul. It is this long lasting commitment for freedom that we will win eventually.

I don't suppose anything. This shit doesn't happen in my county. I'm not sucking ether until the day of the convention. Someone call them poor saps and tell them Godzilla's coming.

You get enough delegates to have a majority and you write the platform, elect delegates to national and, heaven forbid everyone else in this GOP bag-lapping state did the same, introduce a resolution to unbind the national delegates in the 1st round.

Unfortunately, as NC votes about 12 years after the primary has been decided, I'm doomed to watch the reactionaries who go in blind, get their asses kicked and come here to whine about it and fight each other instead of the ones who kick their asses.

Be that as it may, discussion of possible fraud is the only thing that will cause a move to prevent it. Squashing that discussion guarantees it will perpetuate.

I'm sorry, but if you're a Mormon, you're not Christian. The two are incompatible because you are worshipping this Smith guy's super powers to translate golden plaques that nobody else saw. God warned about false prophets, and you can't claim to be a Christian and still follow the Mormon dogma.

Yeah the Mormon religion sounds crazy. I bet they even believe in stuff like virgin women giving birth and talking snakes and shit.

Just watch the Doug Wead interview with Maddow, guys. Results so far:

Iowa: WON. 1st Place. Victory. (Plus, as a cherry-on-top bonus, the new party chairman is one of us. So we're totally in control in Iowa.)
NH: Strong second
SC and Fla.: Fourth. Lost. Well, can't win 'em all.
Nev.: Either WON or placed Second. Will become clearer as process goes on.
Minn.: WON. 1st Place. Victory. And it will be a very strong first place, because we have over 50% of the delegates, so there's a good chance we will ultimately get 50% or more of the national delegates. That's as long as babies like BKom don't tear up their delegate forms. I have confidence that virtually none of our people are that petty, small-minded, and sad. We are in it for the long haul, BKom is an aberration.
Colo.: WON. 1st Place. Victory. That's according to Doug Wead. I know, hard to believe, but Wead is not stupid, nor is he a liar. So I tend to believe him, for now.
Mo.: Hasn't happened yet. Word on the ground is that we should get at least around half of the delegates. In a four-man race, the man who gets 50% is probably the man who wins. So things are looking good there in Missouri.
Maine: WON. 1st Place. Victory.

So, thus far out of the 9 states we have:

4 First Places
1 First or Second Place (Nev.)
1 Second Place
2 Fourth Places
1 That hasn't actually yet happened, so no places awarded yet.

So of the 8 states that have happened, Ron Paul will be getting the largest plurality of delegates going to national from 4 of them. That is, we've won half of the states!

The media, other than Rachel Maddow, is not reporting this, so that's a bummer, I'll give you that. But it's not a life-ending bummer. It's not an end-of-the-world, kill-myself bummer. It's not a tear-up-your-delegate-form bummer. The word is getting out. The media is being bypassed. Ron Paul is polling at 21% nationally. If Ron Paul starts getting 20% in the primary states, or even 15%, or even 10%, that is a few hundred delegates coming our way that we never counted on in, e.g., this calculation. So things are going well, we're having fun, and who is to say that Ron Paul will not win the nomination? It's not the most likely outcome. True. The most likely outcome is that Romney wins the nomination. But that's been true since Iowa. Crazier things have happened. In the movie Tucker, about the car inventor, there is a scene that goes like this:

Tucker: "There are 24 hours in every day. Is there anybody in this room who can tell me we can't do it?"

Naysayer: "We can't do it!"

Tucker: "Except you."

Another team member to the naysayer: "Better get with it."

That's how I'm felling. So guys: Get with it! If you have to get discouraged, get discouraged, I know I was sure discouraged after Iowa, but at least I tried to channel it into something productive and made a thread about having the post-Iowa moneybomb anyway, just out of pure spite, to express our outrage at the establishment, (and I myself donated $100 that night). So go donate even just a few dollars to the campaign and it will make you feel better, I guarantee. Do it.

Romney knows we have a good 20% of his vote.

What does this have to do with the Maine caucus?
If you would like to start a thread about "what is a christian" in the religion section,i would gladly join in.

No. They do not.

Without winning the Presidency - your desired changes will never, ever occur and the nation will descend into the abyss due to currency erosion (or other related reasons).

Trickle down politics?

Getting Congressional seats can also cause gridlock with any president.

This! I think this should be appropriately called a truth bomb! :)

i agree. but there are many ways to win.

+ 1 on taking a point about religious discrimination and turning it into supposed racial discrimination. Good job.

My local congregation is 50% black, and I have several local black leaders, so if this is about me or my religion being racist, you can step off now.
If you want to talk about religion PM me, this is not the place.
