Official Maine Caucus Results thread

Am I bummed out right now? Yes

But screw these media hacks. The honey badger doesn't give a shit and I'm going to tear into their little bee hive and rip it down out of spite.

All the while I'm going to be laughing my ass off as they scramble around in panic.

Hate to wish ill will on anybody but a Greece collapse probably wouldn't hurt right about now.

Every election ever.

Is this a GOP rule or what? Are you saying that someone cannot be a candidate at the national convention if they have not won a state? My understanding is that if there is a brokered convention anyone can be nominated after no single candidate gets 1144 bound delegates.

I wonder who made the decision to cancel the Washington County caucus..the state GOP or Washington County GOP.

Hang on, i'll try that again with my a b c's and 1 2 3's so you understand it.

Against ALL odds we are increasing support and strength. or: We are the 300 defending greece from thousands of persian warriors.

Do either of those sentences add up for you?

Well, we are the only people voting for a Republican that is okay with gay marriage, and the guys from 300 looked pretty gay. So.... hmm.

No. They do not.

Without winning the Presidency - your desired changes will never, ever occur and the nation will descend into the abyss due to currency erosion (or other related reasons).

Where is the exit polling????

There is no point in CNN doing an expensive exit poll if all the results are going to be announced at the same time. Exit polls are to predict results while still waiting on counties to declare each of their results.

We got 5 delegates, Romney got 6. This isn't THAT bad. We're in the high 30's - this is actually kinda heartening.

Sorry if all you people got yer hopes up, but step back and take a breath.
Waiting for tonight's coverage and lies: FOX NEWS PROPAGANDIST: Charles Krauthammer states, "Ron Paul has a 36% Ceiling"

Michigan is going to be a huge challenge. We need this win on the 13th when all the votes from all the Maine counties are announced.

Then the campaign needs to go on a Ron Paul Sale/Branding/Marketing spree for Michingan.

I think he is just making it up. Why would you need to win a state straw poll when the whole point is to win delegates?

Supremely disappointing. We come so close to winning and it gets snatched away at the last minute. Gotta win Washington now, losing hope that we'll win any state. I'm in it to the end regardless, there is no alternative.

I agree with you that Ron could sometimes frame his responses better, but the amount of 'criticism' from armchair campaign managers you see around here is excessive.

I am not trying to be insulting, I wish you would see that, it's BECAUSE I want Ron to win that this all upsets me.

Isn't that what we want? Paul for president or complete failure of the nation? That's the whole concept of no one but paul. You could try your hardest, but you probably can't show me that to this point paul had less votes in 2012 vs 2008. That means we are adding people to the movement. Even with OUT the media's help.

The GOP means war against us by any means necessary and they have no qualms about their tactics and machinations to keep their tyrannical power. We can put to rest any case of us playing nice nice with GOP and being welcomed. We could all be Jesus reincarnate and they would treat us the same. Time to expose the establishment for what it is and any naysayers who say SHUT UP because it might make us look 'extreme' or 'crazy' or whatever pejorative..I say to thee, how do you plan to defeat a people who will do anything to keep their power?

I am down with this, then again I felt this way prior to Maine.

There will, at some point, under certain circumstances, be a point where you know you're not going to win without a severe change of circumstances. I'm not saying we're near that. But that time might come at some point in time. That's when you throw a hail mary. Get vicious. No holds barred. No sacred cows. No third rail. The Rand factor is something.

Is there anything in the world out there that's really sinister, but yet glossed over? Back in 2007, Ron Paul did not shy away from talking about conspiracies.

Isn't Mormonism a cult by the way? Let's hear more about that, too, while we're at it. Just get brutal.

That opportunity is often there, but everyone just gets along.

That question deserves its own thread, maybe that's how the GOP tried to cheat Dr Paul out of a statewide beauty contest win ?

WOW !! That's a huge increase. They used to say he had a 15% ceiling.
