Official Maine Caucus Results thread

Excuse me, but the campaign is NOT doing an excellent job. Every single other candidate left has WORSE organization than we do and yet they pull in the numbers. What exactly is the campaign doing an excellent job in? Not winning ANY states?

organization does not win elections. the only thing that wins is having the msm pump you. It's sad, but it's true. The amazing thing is against ALL odds and ALL blackouts... paul almost tied romeny and set his highest % yet today. That's damned good for being cast aside by the largest reaching media in the states. It'll be tough to break through to everyone with out the media pumping paul...

Imagine if paul got 50% of what the other 4 did. It'd be landslides EVERYWHERE

This is BS. He did acceptably in Iowa and well in NH. Everything since has been a disaster.

That's exactly what I said. He did well in Iowa and New Hampshire, but he did poorly after that, because Ron's supporters knew that he didn't actually have a chance to win the nomination after not placing first in Iowa and New Hampshire. So they just stayed home. I was telling that guy that he should still go out and vote for Ron Paul.

He has not won anything

whats he supposed to win?...these are STRAW POLLS, and the media is playing you guys.

Here...let me explain something. repeat after me.... COUNTY delegates...repeat this a hundred times, and then educate yourself on COUNTY delegate strategy.

Whining quitters like you aren't going to get begged for shit. Take your ball and go home, coward.

I am taking my ball and going home. Just like Ron did. And it's sad that you don't see it.

I went to the mat last time for Ron, and he threw the mat back in our faces. And he's just done it again. So, yeah, that makes me a coward because I refuse to work harder than the f'ing candidate. I'm old too, buddy. I will not waste time on someone who doesn't want the office.

When I went to work for the campaign last time, I asked one question. Is Ron serious about wanting the presidency. They told me yes, right up to the top of the campaign. So I signed on. We almost gave Ron a state and he gagged on it. You can call me any name you want, but I went toe to toe with the party in my state and got shithammered. And Ron did nothing to help. And still, this time I walked my precinct and made calls and caucused and became a delegate for Ron. And he went home to Clute. I've simply had enough. Ron would have to get on his knees and beg me to head to the state convention for him now. And I've known him for 24 years.

Are there even anymore debates?

Yep, one coming up before MI, where I live, I had alot of hype going here, I was ready to go out and get rowdy with all my friends tonight praising Ron's win, now, don't know. He better kill it in that debate, but honestly, all of you bitching that maybe someone like me is "negative", well, imagine what it's like for me to continually have to keep trying to convince all the soft support voters around here that somehow Ron is a viable candidate when he keeps losing.

These may be straw polls but you have to win states because the sheeple won't vote for you if they think your not in it to win / playing the straw poll game.

How many caucuses did Mitt Romney speak at in Iowa?
How many caucuses did Mitt Romney speak at in Minnesota?
How many caucuses did Mitt Romney speak at in Nevada?
How many caucuses did Mitt Romney speak at in Colorado?

Where does it become so important that Mitt Romney speak to a caucus?

Well don't worry, he's (nor anyone else involved) not going to beg you for anything. You will not be missed. I hope that other supporters aren't as craven and pathetic as you. And you knowing him for 24 years makes you even more of a weasel and a backstabber too

The whole thing is rigged. It is clear as day - yet freedom lovers scramble here to dismiss the facts in favour of false idealism.
It's sad, more than sad. It's disheartening. Not the fact that we are losing, but the fact that people are giving in to the constant brainwashing
and defending the notion that there is NO FRAUD. This is a JOKE. Don't give me that crap about RP not being in Maine yesterday - as if that had any relevancy whatsoever. This is called denial. The GOP is killing this movement. Period. And the folks here screaming "there is no fraud, things are what they are" can just kiss my smelly bottom.

I'm not generally one to say that it was rigged, and I think for the most part it isn't.

There is one odd thing, though. These 24 delegates are selected only by the results of caucuses conducted February 4th through 11th. My question is, who scheduled the caucuses that were conducted before or after this, and are we strong in those areas?

Here's a list of when each caucus is held. http://www.mainegop.com/2012/01/maine-g-o-p-2012-caucus-information/ Note that one is held as late as March 3rd. Who made that decision?

Give the man a break, he's been fighting the establishment for 30 years. And he's done a great job at that. You're not a true supporter for the cause of liberty if that's enough to throw you off and you take it personally in a childish way (yes even old people do childish things).

I guarantee the people whining about the campaign haven't donated time, money, or energy toward the campaign in the last two weeks. The campaign is energized by the grassroots, but the grassroots has been weak lately.

This is really a sad day.

On the one hand, Ron has done so much for this cause and campaign. He deserves a lot of credit. On the other hand, there should have been a major push earlier this week, and there wasn't. We could have won the 194 votes.

Man this stings. Not good...
