keep the bitching about performing under expectations here please

not sayin we did but I don't want to see a thousand threads about how mad you are.

RON PAUL FOR THE LONG HAUL

This thread isn't for me (yet).

I'm going to write-in Ron Paul if I have to.

"Don't settle for shit" - Me

Actually I just looked at it and it looks like another 5th place finish close to 3rd.

FUCK

I'm feeling like I did when the Iowa results started coming in...sick to my stomach and hoping that the results change as the percentages go up...here's hoping....

Like in in Iowa...

"guys its only 5%"
"only 10%"
'only 25%..."
"only 50%...... we can still make it..."
"80%...."

Surprises me how quickly everybody panics... Remember guys, there are 50 states. We haven't even reached the big ones yet. So, relax on the results. Keep canvassing, keep talking, keep emailing, keep getting the message out.

Even for me to be at my most pessimistic about total outcome, if we make his message popular enough even if we don't get the presidency we have a very strong movement which can be organized to pressure congress and whatever the current administration is to change policy.

You do realize that the only votes counted so far have been from towns whose median ages are about 50-60? All the old hag veterans vote for their buttbuddy McCain, YYYYYEAH, KILL THEM MOOZLEMS AND DIRTY ASS TERRORISTS YYYYEEHAA.

Seriously, they suck.

I love these arguments. "We lost Iowa, because they drink that Huckabee brand of Jesus Juice there." As if Ron Paul has any less of a social conservative record, or is any less of a Christian! For one thing, Huck took money from stem cell research facilities that use the harvested fetuses from abortions for their research. Huck made $70, 000 from them last year. It's a little hypocritical. While Ron Paul has repeatedly tried to introduce legislation that would nullify Roe v. Wade by granting Constitutional rights to the unborn. He is also an advocate of states rights in deciding abortion. Both are viable, legal ave. s for a more pro-life culture in the US, as well as a workable compromise that even pro-lifers support.

Did voters know about this in Iowa? Probably not. Will they know in South Carolina? I doubt it.

Here's how we did less well in NH than should have been possible given our resources. Ron Paul wants to end the war, but people think McCain is a better choice for those NH Independents. Some people think McCain wants to end the war! He says that, though, at the same time that he says something else out of the other side of his mouth. John McCain has mastered the sound byte, and the media gave him carte blanche. No one ever said life is fair, but most corporate networks profit from the war. They only stand to benefit from pushing the candidates who serve their interests. Ron Paul supporters' challenges are to find other creative ways to get his message out. As our candidate is a miserable failure of the sound byte and has an incompetent campaign to boot, then you must become his spokespeople. Read his writings, acquaint ourselves with his positions and learn to gently debate his cause. Don't rely on the media gimmicks like videos and DVD's to do it for you. People hate being attacked, talked down to and schooled. Those resources are there for you once you have successfully piqued someone's interest in Ron Paul and why he should be POTUS. Stay in touch with grassroots leaders. They will help keep you up-to-the-minute with the latest in cool give-aways.

Meanwhile, I will be stoked if we come in third or better in NH, and a lot of credit will be due to many people (other than me sadly, but I am stuck in Canada until June.) It will have been a miracle, too.

I get so frustrated when I see all these posts saying, "Gee, fourth place would be kinda nice." Did 100's of 1000's of people donate millions to see so little NHQ effort go into these early primary states? Hell no! We have the best candidate this country has seen in the longest time and at a time when the country is starved for this message. That it is why charlatans like Huckabee and McCain who are getting these votes in what looks like record turn-outs in the polls should tell you something. Our message is not getting out, and Ron Paul has surrounded himself with over-paid campaign flunkies who just stink.

You have an incredible fight to get this man elected, including the candidate, because he IS kind of a goofball (but an admitted genius, too.) It is not the voter's fault, if they are uninformed, and it is not in their direction people should be directing their scorn. It is a general election, and that means Ron Paul has to win over more than 50% of the whole country. He is not running for President of Narnia, so this "People are too stupid to vote for him" talk is not gonna fly.

Why can't both be true? People are too stupid to vote for him, and we still have work to do.
