National Review:

Paul: ‘Great and Tumultuous Battle Underway for the Future’
By Eliana Johnson March 7, 2014 3:15 PM

For the first time since the Conservative Political Action Conference convened on Thursday morning, the excitement in the conference’s sprawling ballroom was palpable. The reason: freshman senator Rand Paul.

In the midst of a conference that, by comparison to those of other years has lacked electricity, the mere presence of the Kentucky senator brought the crowd to its feet. The audience rose as he took the stage and lined the sides of the packed hall. ....

Anyone who thinks Rand isn't electable, just look at the reaction when he does what he does best, standing up for freedom and the constitution. It's the kind of uniting stuff that makes for a landslide election

Yeah, but we have to keep in mind, that a ton of those cheering already liked Rand enough to travel and pay good money to see him.

Just home from work and missed Rand's speech. Anyone have it on video yet? I see nothing on YouTube.

Edit: I just saw above...thanks

Steve Deace is slobbering over Huckabee on facebook, and Kevin Gutzman revealed himself to be a fraud by praising Reagan and saying Huckabee, Rubio, Walker, and someone else would be good candidates.

Bruce Fein is doing a good job talking about Snowden, except he keeps calling our country a Democracy. Is he really that ignorant?

Jim Gilmore makes me want to pull my hair out. His defense of the NSA is sickening. But fortunately the crowd is not on his side, and I don't think the greater American people are either.

I think Rand got some extra votes after that brilliant speech. I think envoking the sons of liberty really helped him there.

No one appointed to introduce Rand? I like it. Just show up and start talking.
