The liberal dem won over the conservative dem

This is VERY good news for us

Conway can pull in big money but we can link him to Obama, who is MAJORLY unpopular

How is Jack going to defend his Obamacare endorsement? He may twist himself into a pretzel before all is said and done. We have a mighty big target to shoot at.

This is the best possible matchup. Obama is really unpopular in KY and was even when Obama was the man.

But progressives will turn out.

There is a reason the polls had him closer to Rand.

I just updated the election page and Conway is only 1% off M, about. It isn't over. Rand is also only at 58% + which is sad, I liked the 60%+, just because.

Will he play dirty, or will they actually debate the issues?

I suspect very dirty. They're going to be heaving slop all over the place. Paul is going to be interrogated to give a controversial answer on the proper role of the government. You watch.

Rand can handle that if he is given time. I think he needs to make that very clear, because they keep saying things like 'he is against the civil rights act' and 'he is against the ADA bill' as if he didn't like civil rights or disabled people, rather than because he just thought the federal govt was the wrong party to address that.

Conway will be beaten by Rand, but it won't be easy, and it definitely would have been easier if Dan Mongiardo won because then the liberal base wouldn't be engaged and also Rand could hammer Mongiardo's support for TARP Bailout.

As it is, Conway's support for ObamaCare and the Obama/Pelosi agenda in general will have to be Rand's golden ticket.

Folks, think about one thing:

Rand is no longer trying to win a Republican primary. No more BS posturing to appease the party base. Rand will be unleashed with a populist message that brings in people from the left and totally outflanks Conway on the issues.

We will see even dirtier attacks than Grayson's

They will make it appear as if Rand wants your grandma to die in the street, handicapped people to be unemployed, and farmers to lose their farms

also, wheras before Rand had the national media spotlight all to himself and the Democratic primary was so overshadowed, now the national media will play this up as silencing the strongest part of the tea party movement. this goes back to what i heard some commentators saying earlier tonight-- that Rand may have to be careful about alligning too closely with the tea party for the general election. tea party is good in the republican primary, but democrats are disgusted by it. they can't stand the thought that these are legitimate voices and voters.... just ignorant racists. right? so this will be framed a little differently that the primary was and it will be tougher for Rand to discuss when he's in the media.

i am confident, however, he can do it and do it well.
