Official campaign website Google ranking

We need to get www.ronpaul2012.com to be the first thing that comes up for a Ron Paul Google search.
For this to happen, all Ron Paul websites should put a link or a banner linking to the official campaign website. I have already e-mailed a couple webmasters asking them to do this, Ron Paul Forums is already taking action to fix this. Any individual can take the time to Google Ron Paul and then go find the result for the official campaign website and click on it.

yes exactly. i did it to my business site an immediately moved up in rankings.

facebook (obviously) has a high google ranking and when your link gets plastered over thousands of facebook walls... it helps. trust me

The problem is there isn't really much to look at there yet. It's a pretty site, but it still needs to be fleshed out with a lot more stuff. Pretty much the only reason to go the website right now is if you want to donate. I was expecting the full site to be rolled out with the announcement, I'm a bit disappointed it's not done yet. There's not even an issues page yet.

We should all click this at least every day (when we are on computer). It is on page 3. I have it in my signature, and people doing that can help, but it needs to go on other sites too, that permit live links.

He should rise naturally, but put links on your blogs with the anchor "Ron Paul" or "Ron Paul 2012" will help. Plus give the site some social juice and post it on facebook and as someone mentioned the campaign needs a facebook like button.

just linking to the site will not make it number one on google. Right now the site does not have much content. When they start filling it with content they need to use key SEO terms for ron paul to help make it number 1.

Linking into it from a million places will not do that.

it will naturally come up on top as time progresses. Just relax and focus on things that matter. Talk to others about Ron Paul, spread the message of liberty

Anchor text links like the one in my sig to rp2012.com are very important for search engine rankings, particularly Google. Regular links like http:// have NO bearing on search rankings. NONE! All links must be anchor text in order for search engines to index that link.

Anchor text links are so important.
