Your sig is a perfect example of how you can help boost the rank of the campaign website. Change the RON PAUL part to an anchor text link. It would look like:

WE ARE RON PAUL!

Anywhere you post on the internet about RP should include an anchor text link like that one. Regular webpages (not forums) use a different syntax than forums do though.

google dropped meta tags from the algorithm.

i think yahoo is the only major search engine to bother with them - sites were just stacking meta- tag words and it didn't improve search results any.

it's better not to even have them now because they give your competition an idea of what your key words inside the actual articles and anchor texts are.

We're building a links page, don't worry. There's SO MUCH being done that you can't yet see.

And links float around before settling. Ron Paul Flix hit the front page of all major search engines today except for Google where we're the top hit on the 2nd page. And then it even takes about 3 days for all of googles index machines to be in sync. It'll happen, don't worry.

yes, you're right. I was wrong. I think it switches back and forth from the second to the first page. Let's keep it on the first page though.

I'm wondering if the fact that it was parked so long had a detrimental impact on its ranking in the results. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Its in the middle for me.

The number one thing we can do is go down the top 25 Ron Paul lists and then if that page does not link to RonPaul2012.com we can ask the owner of the page to add it. I just used the contact form for RonPaul2012.net and asked the owner to link to http://www.RonPaul2012.com

If just a few people get just a few more owners to edit in Ron Paul's name his 2012 site will more consistently be the #1 result.
