Official Campaign Press Release regarding Paul exclusion in Fox debate

Received this at 4:52 Friday and it probably should have it's own thread, but this one seems to be the logical place to post it:

URGENT RON PAUL FORWARD

PLEASE STOP---URGENT-----------------REPOST

Body: This is an urgent message from NH: PLEASE stop tying up the phones at the NH GOP office.

They will not answer because they cannot. They do not know anything more than we do.

We are still investigating this and if it turns out to be true, it is NOT Fergus Cullen's doing AT ALL. He has been very good to us.

But now, you are tying up their phones and they can't function, and the HQ phones too and they cannot do any work on behalf of Ron Paul.

They are working to figure this out. I still have NOT seen a press release that says FOX did not invited Ron... It could be that main HQ hasn't opened the email or paper mail yet...this is how they are. It is still early.

Fergus and the NH GOP have nothing to do with this. I have tried to stop you from overreacting until more information could be had, but many of you keep posting this AP ariticle which does NOT say anywhere that Ron was not invited, and you are causing a disaster in NH.

PLEASE STOP NOW! The phones will NOT be answered at NH GOP and they are inoperable at NH HQ so you are in essence crippling the campaign.

We have been given direction from the campaign, a direct signal for help, perhaps with negotiations that are ongoing at this moment.

WE have NOT been given direction from the campaign. They merely provided some information. The direction we choose is our own.

ppphhhtt much ado about nothing in my opinion. The debate means absolutely nothing. Ron Paul will be more conspicuous by his absence. Believe in the common sense of the people. They will know this is just more evidence of the media's fear of the inevitable power of the revolution. The sooner people see the media for what it is the better.

Would you really prefer Ron Paul was included and trashed?

This way people can see the fact plainly that the media is against we the people. Against their duty to report the news. Against our freedom and sovereignty. I say relax and enjoy the show.

Want to hurt FOX? Destroy the Murdoch empire with dogged determination to reduce his sponsors to zero for ALL his media holdings. Otherwise there is little impact. In the short term communicating with "journalists" will accomplish nothing. They will only laugh at you.

It's not a debate, per se. It's a forum where the candidates will be in a studio around a table discussing topics. Nobody will have to fight against booing in that atmosphere.

Yeah Bullshit!!! I'm sure the NH GOP could get Dr. Paul into the forum if their lives depended on it.

Just make it clear to the NH GOP that the pressure will stop ONLY when Dr. Paul is invited to the forum. We're not interested in their excuses of why they couldn't get him in. And we don't care how they fix it. We are only interested in RESULTS. How you get him in is your problem. As long as Dr. Paul is not in the forums, we are most certainly going to remain YOUR problem.

Letter to Toyota.
Since Toyota is very concerned about anti-Japanese and anti-foreigner backlash in general, I decided to tell them that this is a good chance to show that they support American values.

Write your own! (Especially if you, like me, are a Toyota owner).

Sir or Madam,

I am a happy owner of a [Toyota]. I would like to continue purchasing Toyota in the future, and I appreciate the high quality cars that your company manufactures.

I am, however, incensed at the behavior of FoxNews, where I understand Toyota does considerable advertising. FoxNews’ recent decision to omit Congressman Ron Paul from the upcoming Republican Forum is indefensible. Congressman Paul is a serious contender who has raised more than $18 million dollars since October – the #1 Republican in fundraising! But FoxNews does not like his opinions, and wishes to silence him.

FoxNews’ behavior amounts to political censorship, and media manipulation of citizens. These are un-American values, and I hope Toyota makes clear that you do not stand for un-American, anti-democratic values.

If FoxNews does not include Ron Paul, and Toyota continues to support Fox financially, I will seriously reevaluate whether Toyota is influencing the USA in a positive way, and will make my future purchases accordingly. I know many thousands of others will view things similarly.

Please make clear that Toyota does not support political censorship, and insist that FoxNews reverse course. If they do not, please join with your customers – ordinary Americans – in their quest for fair political coverage by ceasing to advertise with Fox.

Please feel free to contact me with further questions.

I agree. We need to keep calling the NH GOP until they get Ron Paul in the debate!

Quoted for obvious reasons....

You make a valid point. I think this was a signal that needed to be done to let Murdoch know that we're not going to put up with it. We're going for the sponsors.

There seems to be some confusion here. The Fox news event on Jan 6 is a FORUM NOT A DEBATE. AFAIK there will be no audience. It's just the candidates sitting at a table with Chris Wallace asking questions ala Charlie Rose style.

The Jan 5 ABC news DEBATE is the day before and AFAIK Dr. Paul is included.

Both are being held at St. Anselm College.

The Fox news decision is bad, but Dr. Paul is still going to be on the main NH debate. So don't get too discouraged. Maybe ABC will mention the exclusion during the real debate.
